This is a great interpretation of the piece. It has this elemental driving force and lots of power. But it is lacking in dynamic contrast which could build mroe drama and excitement. You have really great hands; if you could engage your ears more when playing, you could be a really great pianist.
U R an incredible pianist, but your dynamics could have about double the contrast. Believe me, the audience is moved just as much when you play as soft as you can as when you play as loud as U can.
i feel even more honored, now, that you were kind enough to accompany me. it is so awesome being able to work with such a great musician! I especially love how you stood up before the end! lol
OH MY GOD....how the hell dont your arms get tired?? my arms always kill me after playing chopin etude op.25 no.10 and thats alot easier than this piece. how do u overcome the tiredness?
her arms are barely moving, she minimizes movement and therefore doesn't become tired. If you take a video recording of yourself playing piano, i bet you'd see a lot of unnecessary body movement
Prokofiev Toccata is technically harder than Liebermann, but once you learn Prok., the indurance is not so bad. Indeed, it is actually really fun to play! Liebermann on the other hand, the notes are not hard at all, but I found it is very easy to get tired because of all the jumps. If I remember correctly, there aren't as many jumps in Prok... If you are a guy, maybe this piece will be easier for you.
Judging by the difference in how you hit the last note and how it sounded, I'm going to guess that the acoustics in the particular performance space weren't the best, or perhaps it was the microphone. For whatever reason, I couldn't hear much dynamic contrast. Especially in a piece with such constant rhythm, individual sections could become quite accentuated by giving each of them their own dynamic "flavor". Otherwise, this was an excellent performance in both spirit and technical proficiency.
This is multi-movement work with plenty of dynamic contrast built in through it's entirety. When played out of context it may seem even more as you said. Usually, if I have to guess at something, I keep it to myself.
Of your interpretations, this is my favourite of the 4 movements. (And I agree with your comments about the third movement... it can be hazier & lazier; create a hallucination.) Your technical wizardry is deservedly assured, and I hope you can play Godowsky some day. Thumbs up!
This is amazing

How much endurance does this piece require as opposed to, say, the Ginastera op. 2 no. 3 Danza del Gaucho Matrero?

Very enjoyable! After all, isn't that the purpose of music?
I don't put much stock in the opinions of people who analyze music to death. Who is music for anyway? Musical scholars, or the average person?
I look forward to hearing more!
