I played this game, and it is completely free-roaming until the end. The combat gets pretty intense. I made lvl 30 in 12 hrs!

This game is partially free-roaming. Yes you have the option to go where ever you want to go en complete quests at your own will. However, there are some quests/area's etc related to other quests/main quest and thus can't be done untill you have reached some point in the game. Main quest is just like other quests, only it is working to the finale. After you have competed the game (i.e. main quest), it is over. So no more playing in an empty world without Gandohar.

@mweagle89 so u save before finishing when everything is unlocked not a thing thats every bothered me really like ppl bitching about fallout 3 and the no carrying on after their ending that pissed me off carrying on after fallout 3 made no sense whatsoever. Point is i dnt really consider that a free roam necessity i have a big world to explore and i have multi saves so no problem to me.

amazing game .. i just finish it as a warrior. 100% of the map (single player) discovered, ALL side quest done. trying to kill all beast. i reached LEVEL 41. anyway i got weapons with level 46 requiriment. TOTAL TIME PLAYED = 36Hrs. 19 Min. This game needs BADLY free roam.

Screw that oblivion 4 is better than this game

Free roam means free run (any mission and directions) plus endless game. i just beat the final boss and i cant play anymore.. so be carefull who you call idiot... following your comments i can beat the dragon boss then i can make others quests...thats imposible. when you make the mainline quest...THE GAME IS OVER.

@EthanSmithsters Gothic 4 is a metrosexual game, i´ve played the demo and it has nothing to do with original Gothic series, its linear, with stupid options and World of Warcraft feeling, PLUS your character looks gay, you cant swim or dive.

In TW2, you ran sail a boat (sailing skills included), large world, stylish wizard hat, and ´much more. TW1 sucked a lot but this seems to be as good as Oblivion

@EthanSmithsters I dont know if you played the demo for Gothic 4 but I think it sucked, I would think this game looks better for combat, overall gameplay and graphics. Too bad this game got pushed back to 2011.
