Latest Mahan air news-:On 11 September 2007, the European Commission added Mahan Air to the list of airlines banned within the EU. [4] The ban was subject to certain limitations; for example, Mahan Air was able to operate aircraft wet-leased from other carriers provided those aircraft met EU regulations, however this ban was lifted on 25 July 2008 in view of the significant efforts and progress accomplished by this carrier, which were verified during an on site inspection in Iran.

Mahan's ban from flying to the UK was an unfair, and childish political stunt(part that whole economic sanction bulshit which always targets the civilians rather than the government!). Mahan has had no emergencies except for a blown up tire during a takeoff. which isn't a big deal compared to the questionable safety records of some other airlines that are free to fly anywhere in the Europe. As you may know Mahan is owned partially by Cleric Rafsanjani (kooseh), that's the reason behind that ban!

Great clip and very well captured! You cant see an A310 these days, however I saw one at Heathrow on 18th March the day the A380 made its first commercial voyage, it was a Lufthansa A310. Nice Vid.

my family were stranded abroad after the uk ban with return tickets,but these people are GREAT, they have arranged alternative transport for them via emirates for safe return home,at no extra cost...I will use again. 100% satisfied.

I emailed CAA asking the reason

They replied and said its because of Mahan Air maintenance weakness, but if you ask mahan they tell you that it is the french engineering group from Air BUS who live in iran and responsible for maintenance and iranian engineers work under their supervision so therefore if anybody is to blame is frenchs not mahan.

ALL FLIGHTS ARE CANCELED UNTILL END OF AUGUST.

I hope we see this airline back in manchester again.
