Hi, at one point, I wouldnt have to move the time line to where I wanted it. For example, I would place it at 1:34, and record, and when I stopped. It would automatically go back to 1:34, But it stopped doing that, How can I get it to do that again?

You turn off the monitors *in some cases just plug in your headphones* You don't want the mic catching any of the song in the background.

Whats the best tips for editing vocals to make them loud and clear quality on fl studio? what should i add to my vocals in addition to reverb and eq? I use a AT2020 and supposedly its a good mic, but i need a good formula to make my vocals at the highest quality possible. Thx for this video btw it helped ALOT lol.

@MCKeithyG yeah your making sense i have th exact same problem and i dont know how fucking solve it. i thought of one way...DONT use aiso4all setting, play the beat on youtube...record your vocals in fl studio whike it plays then import the instrumental afterwards. doesnt solve the problem though :-(

@kawasakikid800 yeh man i do pretty much same thing as you, gets it done eventually but it is alot of effort just to record afew verses and a hook, at least i know i'm not the only one. hopefully fl will make a better way to record in the future.

@MCKeithyG i kind of persisted and found a way actually. youve got your mic plugged in...so import beat and put it in playlist. then go to mixer and select mixer channel number 2. then go to the top and press record...click audio clip in to playlist. the mixer will then come up and ask you what input to use...click the microphone your using. once youve finished recording click record buttonn again then stop. play it back...if happy delete the track and export your record it wont have bakground

@MCKeithyG couldnt fit it all in one soz mate. but thats pretty much it. it wont have any bakground music so just repeat this exporting the bits you r happy with. then import them all in at the end including the main trak (take it your a rapper) and mix it all up in the playlist. job done and fuck you very much flstudio

@GnRockzU Not really, bruh. All I can say is, they both have their ups and downs... Many people actually chose one or the other not always based on their recording capabilites, but mostly cuz of the "feel".. Some people like the way they can navigate through FL, or some people prefer Pro tools cuz they're used to it... But they both have good and bad sides, you just have to choose which one your more comfortable with..

Go to your control panel on your comp, look for "sound" or "audio control" then click it, then click "mixer" and pull the "record" bar to the left and see what you got, just mess with it til you have it where you want...

When I select channel 12 for recording afterwards the audioclip still shows on channel 1 only. So I need to manually place the clip in channel 12. This sucks. @skatty14 he means your studio monitors..the speakers you play back what you have recorded..the monitors will bleed and cause interference thats why he said to turn it off if you dont have a separate room for recording. hope this helped :]
