as a singer myself i would have given him this advice. Here's a cheat many singers do when they reach a part they have trouble singing,just before the "red glare" part grab the mic and point it towards the crowd so they sing it, therefore it looks like you want the audience to join in. Obviously that wouldnt have worked here, so he was fucked from the get go.
