Another game you might be interested in is my numero-dos DS game of all time: Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure. The best non-Mario platformer I've ever met! It was even made by EA Games, can you believe that?!

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, GTA: China Town Wars. Dragon Ball Origins 2, and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin are all fantastic games and you can get some of them used at Gamestop for under $20 :)

If I were to recommend ANY game on ANY, it would be Retro Game Challenge. It has multiple game genres and is my absolute favourite DS game. As for platformers, I know how you feel, I've been looking for some as well. Some platformers I recommend are Megaman ZX (or ZX Advent), the DS wario land is decent, you could try the castelvania series, but I'm not the biggest fan of them. Also, if you like megaman, megaman zero collection has all four megaman zero games. Those are all pretty good games
