Thor is depicted with a red beard flowing hair and lightning in his eyes. And he has pale skin. Which is not to say everyone in asgard does. Heimdall for instance is the whitest of the gods... Which sort of irked me when they cast him as being black, of all of the people you could cast. Basically, comics do not match mythology.

Ppl here dont understand the marvel version of the Norse gods are not immortal. their asgaard is part of another dimension where the asgaardians can be killed and require eating some apples to prolong their existence. They are superhuman celestials but not like God who is shown as the One-above-all in Marvel.

It's not just the Marvel version of the Norse gods though, as in Norse mythology they weren't immortal either, and they too ate the apples picked by the goddess Idunn to prolong their lifespan. Their depiction in Marvel Comics is actually somewhat accurate, though embellished with more noble traits (for example, Thor in mythology was more prone to drinking heavily and being violent for no reason).

@ginutg Umm thats pretty much how it is in Asatru (modern day revival of the old germanic/norse religion). Asgard is another dimension/universe (well thats how i see it) and the elder kin are mortals - extremely powerful mortals but again use the apples to extend their lives.
