Really? Was beating Oklahoma in a bowl game that big of a feat? Look at their recent bowl record: Lost the 08 Fiesta Bowl, 07 Fiesta Bowl, 05 Orange Bowl, and the 04 Sugar Bowl. You all played a bunch of can't finish seniors that had trouble being able to beat any team in a bowl game. Plus last year you accidentally made it there with that weak WAC schedule, literally and figuratively. Playing teams like Fresno State, UC Davics, LA. Tech, Nevada? Boise State - BS at the moment.

As a Bama fan I will agree that these teams are getting the shaft. Yes, I am happy that my team is playing for the NC, but with 5 undefeated teams, how do we truly know who the best team in college football is. I don't know what can be done. I've made two videos about this. This one guy replied to me defending the BCS talking about how it's better than what was in place before which was the Bowl Alliance. The Bowl Alliance was a 0 on a scale of 1 to 10. The BCS is a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. It's not even a half of a step forward.
These are two great teams that went undefeated and now are getting an opportunity to perform on a much larger platform. I don't think they got screwed by any means. They are in my opinion the best two teams in the country... this should of been the national title game.

Yeah, it does. Auburn got the shaft in 04, Texas go it last year, and now it's TCU's/Boise's turn, although Boise's been screwed a few times over now haha. Schedule tough, win out, and you'll be in eventually, but this year....everybody knew since the start of the season, if Texas wen't undefeated and was the B12 champ, they would be playing for the National Championship vs. the SEC champ....and that's exactly what happened. Look I am a UT fan. TCU got fucked because threy play in thre Mountain West. They can help who they play with there none conference games. They be 12 or 13 -0 but hands down UT, Alabama, and Florida and a handfull of other teams are a better football team. Due to playing in harder conferences and in conferences with a Championship. Not having a Mountain West Championship caused Cinncinatti to jump TCU. I think TCU is good enough to play in the BCS just not in the National Championship.

I at least wanted to see TCU take on Florida so they could prove how good they really were, but they keep on lumping them and the Broncos together. People continue to talk about how TCU should have leap-frogged Texas after the Big 12 Champ., but I don't have the authority to call that kind of stuff. So while I can't say coulda should woulda, I will say that at the very least they shouldn't be kept on being lumped together with Boise in another bowl.
I don't necessarily think that TCU should be playing for a National Championship...I just wish that they had gotten paired with a team from an automatic qualifier conference...

well considering there were 2 undefeated at large schools it would have been hard to put em both against bcs schools and also have cincy, who got the big east's automatic bid, play one as well.....and after seein what florida did to cincy....tcu or boise would have gotten smoked bad...there needs to be a playoff though...only way to end the controversy and make everybody happy

As a Bama fan I will agree that these teams are getting the shaft. Yes, I am happy that my team is playing for the NC, but with 5 undefeated teams, how do we truly know who the best team in college football is. I don't know what can be done. Everyone talks about a playoff system but then people would be bitchin on how they got paired up. Anyways, congrats to TCU and Boise for what they are doing in football. Win or lose they both have my respect. (i think Florida will beat Cincy soo) JMO

I've made two videos about this. This one guy replied to me defending the BCS talking about how it's better than what was in place before which was the Bowl Alliance. The Bowl Alliance was a 0 on a scale of 1 to 10. The BCS is a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. It's not even a half of a step forward.

These are two great teams that went undefeated and now are getting an opportunity to perform on a much larger platform. I don't think they got screwed by any means. They are in my opinion the best two teams in the country... this should of been the national title game.

Anyone who says that the regular season is a playoff is fooling themselves. Anyone who says a playoff would diminish the regular season is fooling themselves. If that were the case, how does one explain LSUʻs 2007 championship? Seasons like 2007 will happen more than seasons when there are just two undefeated teams so everything works out perfectly.

Yeah, it does. Auburn got the shaft in 04, Texas go it last year, and now it's TCU's/Boise's turn, although Boise's been screwed a few times over now haha. Schedule tough, win out, and you'll be in eventually, but this year....everybody knew since the start of the season, if Texas wen't undefeated and was the B12 champ, they would be playing for the National Championship vs. the SEC champ....and that's exactly what happened. Play you bowl, and wish for the best, next year!

TCU's a great team, and my dream would be for Texas to win the NC game, and TCU to be Co-champs, will that happen...I don't know...but I'm sick of people "bagging" on Texas win everybody knew at the start of the season, that if Texas won the B12, undefeated, they'd play for the National Championship!

Look I am a UT fan. TCU got fucked because threy play in thre Mountain West. They can help who they play with there none conference games. They be 12 or 13 -0 but hands down UT, Alabama, and Florida and a handfull of other teams are a better football team. Due to playing in harder conferences and in conferences with a Championship. Not having a Mountain West Championship caused Cinncinatti to jump TCU. I think TCU is good enough to play in the BCS just not in the National Championship.

Stamm u hit the nail on the head. TCU was basically dickslapped. They were given nothing. And not to say that Boise isn't something but just think if they had played florida. Man that wouldve been something. People keep saying tcu couldn't play with Texas cuz texas is better and all..... Well based on our system. Well never know. Is tcu better?? probably not, because if they played in the Big12, they'd play teams like Texas, OU, OSU, and TTU every season. I think that would be tough for them to recruit every to play teams like that, and go undefeated or atleast be a contender for the B12 Championship. Don't agree? Even Patterson admits his team could hang with a team like Texas, but on a "one game basis"...he wasn't so lucky a few years ago in 07, Texas put it to them, and i can't remember the last time TCU has even beat Texas!

Bottom line, Texas did what it had to do by taking care of their business. Like it was predicted at the start of the season, if Texas went undefeated and won the B12, they'd play for the National Championship. And that's what happened. As long as Texas wasn't screwed this year, I can care less about TCU/Boise, which is how everybody felt about Texas last year! Hook Em!

You must have read my mind or blog. That's EXACTLY how it should be done. You could have TCU & Cincy play at the Cotton Bowl while the winner meets the winner of the Fiesta Bowl (Bama & Boise?) and play at the Rose Bowl.
How fuckin complicated is that? I say screw the Ohio States that won't get their regular Rose Bowl trip in this scenario. Their fans will cry and bitch but instead of crying about the system they should be crying that their team and the Big 10 sucks donkey balls.

Plus one needs to implemented. I mean Cinci plays in a BCS conference and went unbeaten, they deserve the right to at least make UT or Bama prove that they are better. In this case, I think a TCU could be brought in as the 4th team, and let em play. Or an Oregon (GT sucks, yes im biased but still they are not that good, they play teams with losing records all season then get slapped by us). I do agree TCU is better than BSU.

I at least wanted to see TCU take on Florida so they could prove how good they really were, but they keep on lumping them and the Broncos together. People continue to talk about how TCU should have leap-frogged Texas after the Big 12 Champ., but I don't have the authority to call that kind of stuff. So while I can't say coulda should woulda, I will say that at the very least they shouldn't be kept on being lumped together with Boise in another bowl.
