this sounds good o the record... cause you can hear the guitar's more... this guyand the band sound pretty good live to me.. love that he draws a fake mustach all the time...
I saw these guys get booed off the stage in Kansas city, 1996, opening for Primus. Can't say they did anything wrong, til the bass player got into it with an audience member. It was a bad scene after that. First time I ever seen an opnener get booed like that.
Les came out and his words were "You wouldn't know real punk rock if it hit you in your ass."
I saw Primus in KC around 95 at Memorial Hall. Mike Watt was the opener and they got totally booed too. All the younger people and punk rock kids loved it but Primus brought in a lot of older redneck tweeker fans and they were having non of that "Faggot Shit". There was even boos when Les thanked Mike Watt and his band.
That's a pretty bold statement and I realize it reflects your own personal opinion, but I think a person would have to consider Husker Du, The Replacements, Run Westy Run, Babes In Toyland, Blind Approach, Rifle Sport...etc. And those are just the punk bands that spring to mind.
how the bugle was meant to be played... when i asked to hear that record in the shop i just stood there grinning like a twat and bought it straight away of course...
every cows show i saw at Gabe's was an event. i remember a show when shannon's clothes were sitting in front of the kick drum in a pile as they started. he came out of the back room naked with shaving cream (barely) covering up his weenerballs and then proceeded to do a reverse striptease slowly putting his clothes back on as the shaving cream flung into the first row of fans pressed against the stage while he danced as they opened the set. i think it was the orphans tragedy tour. good stuff.
They were the greatest!

Lots of cool memories from Cows shows and parties in Grand Rapids, Mi.
Do a one off reunion show and it would sell out...
Glad we got your tits back...

Hmmm, you're right. Damn.

dave- i remember kevin always had a mic on stage so maybe it's him. plus he's in the dark on this shot so thats my guess.

i highly, highly doubt the cows would use a back -up tape... it's actually an absurd notion

"Backing tape"? What do you think they were doing, auditioning for SNL or American Idol? A spot on the Ashley Simpson tour? LOL

Is it just me, or does Shannon look just like Tracy Pew, from the Birthday Party?

Holy $hit, you're right! He does look like Tracy Pew, sans mesh shirt.
