The Harley is the PIECE OF SHIT of the show. LOL. I think its kinda funny how here in America we prefer to blow our tax dollars on that Harley junk for the majority of our police motorcycles. Even though they cost more to buy and to maintain then the BMW's, Kawasaki's and Honda's and the Harley's are not as reliable nor can perform as well as its counterpart. I understand that this is America and we should use American made equipment. I get that, but instead of using Harley s. Why not Buels?

@csy30076 You'd be suprised on the Price of the Japanese bikes compared to some of the Harleys. Harleys are not cheap, mainly because of the name, regardless, they are still a great bike, and they stand for something.

As far as the Buell question goes, Harley cut Buell off so they are not made for public sale. Eric Buell still makes racing bikes however.

For me is very clear. Is very dificult the handling of an Harley even though I love Harleys, Honda and BMW proved to be very effective on this slalom.

@arios530 That's the equivalent of saying SUVs are the best cars ever built. Sure they're comfortable, and the usually sound good; but they're slow, heavy, have almost dangerously bad handling, and have horrible fuel efficiency. That may go for cruiser bikes in general, but since HD is THE cruiser bike maker, and since they got rid of buell, they're a prime culprit. If there was a poll of all bikers in the world, I'm sure the best company is Honda. Can't beat their reliability and build quality.

the road king did better than I thought especially with that size.  I'm a sucker for the Harley Davidson and the v-twin. I think road kings are the best bike for officers because they're bigger and louder which might cause intimidation. hahaha

I understand that Harley Davidsons are kinda the icon for the American police...(atleast that's what I think). But it's good to see them on some BMW's and Honda's. They look way better, have better ground clearance, you can see them turn tighter, and I think they are faster. Sorry for the HD's, they sound good but are just outdated. Pretty cool events you film btw. Got referred to you by svengalie.

@DavidSlagter Harley's are all about image and sound. Milwaukee hasn't had a performance innovation in 60 years. Some of the bikes they sell actually have the same suspension that Harley's used 60 years ago.

I've been looking for it but can't find the specific type, maby they look diffrent because they have been moddified for police work or something? But seeing you have been at so many events you probably know alot about those bikes.

This was a team event so some of the dept's don't have all bmw's. In the main event the Harley and BMW are in totally different classes. The don't compete against each other.

The Harley's sound good, but that's about it.

There was a couple of teams who ran this course. I think the SLC Police dept. with 2 BMW's and 2 Harley's on their team was the fastest.
