  • anyone know the name of that track at the beginning of the video

  • 4:15 Armin says that one song is 130F# and 131F#, does the 130 and 131 just mean the BPM yeah? Sorry I'm music illiterate!

  • @Dinimess2k7 yep the number is BPM ^_^

  • which CDJs are those they look like pionneer 2000 but the 2000 doenst have that cue card thing neither do the 100 850 300 or 900 (i look ed at guitar center and i have personally used the 2000. so does anyone know what those decks are?

  • @DjSayvion

haha ;) the 1000 is, you can say, the smaller brother of the 2000. he's the older one. pioneer made the 1000 and than the 2000 (old+new generation) ;)

I think nearly evry DJ knows this :O ^^

  • @petrusini10 I could kinda figure. why didnt they make a cue card thing for the 2000 too? i think the cue card thing is cool n very helpful ^_^

  • @DjSayvion

are you sure there isn't this feature? cause there are the same "call,memory..." buttons?

I don't know it, but the 2000 is able to do nearly everything ;) it think it will work!

  • @petrusini10 mayb, ill check when i go to guitar center today but last time i played on em i didnt see it

  • @petrusini10 it looks like they can in s lil different form

  • @DjSayvion

    ok thank you ;)

  • Bro why do u make things so complicated & time consuming for yourself.

  • a printer, OMG how smart :)

    joke... Armin is...is...damn, i'm speechless

  • teaching beginners to use the bpm counters not not good practice...

  • armin is a fucking badass

  • i want him teach me one on one

  • preparation is everything.. and armin proves it

  • It's ridiculous how easy he makes it all seem

  • That sounds alot like Sundown by 4 Strings, with what hes mixing around.

  • armin knows

  • thx! that helped me a loooot!

  • wow.... best video ive seen on youtube to date. AvB = god.

  • i have ministry of sound turntables with the same slipmat

  • Yes Sensei....He is the master

  • Cue cards? Wuts that? O.o

  • @SlurryAdam Cue card is a card you insert in your deck. You can program some spesific song cue points so you don't have to find the cue points while mixing live. About cue points you can find info anywhere on the net but in a nutshell it's a programmed point in the track you can jump to. 6:45 --> Armin uses them

  • Amin's a fucking gun

  • Hey hows it going? Im just dropping by to say hi & that im new to youtube and have alot great reviews for my channel. I Need a little more help bringing more people to my channel think you could help? I can bring people to your site too. I already get mad traffic but I want more. let me know.

nicee i got good intros too check them out!.

i tottally understand and use cues already when i mix

  • This is one of the best and most usefull videos I have ever seen.

  • holy crap, 1 song per cd and they're labeled by key, that's amazing

  • what track is the one that he uses the cue points on ?

  • @joshrynbout Rank 1 - LED there be light

  • It's so easy. All you need is like $10,000 to drop on some dj equipment!

  • @IAmTheLaw09 you can get the whole equipment which is on this video for about 3000 euros (brand new, ofcourse). 2x CDJ-1000 + DJM800

  • @wexbroadcast isnt that 2x CJD- 2000?

  • @neillovestechno nope, CDJ-1000MK3...

  • His beats are fucken awesome

  • thumbs up for Holland!!

  • Comment removed

  • @ClearBlueBeach L.E.D. There Be Light-Rank 1

  • When he changed between the 3 cue points i think was in heaven.

    That was amazing! Incredible!

  • Does he mean BPM as a 'key' ?

  • @tdysko no, by 'key' he means the root note that the song is in, its all about those harmonies in trance.

  • how can you check the key of any track?

  • @Marcin1001989 well if you cant tell by ear, if you have a piano or keyboard or some kind of instrument you can play along until you work out the scale. if you dont have an instrument, just search on the internet for scale examples, and just listen back and forth between the track and a scale until you hear the right harmony.

  • @tdysko beats per minute

  • i'm gonna say what a lot of people are thinking, you make the song at home, right?? why not just push play?! i wonder how many of the do it that way, i understand the importance of the pitch and beat matching from track to track and the effects, but i just dont understand why so much effort to put a song together on the spot. Will anyone help me with this?

  • whats the name of the song that starts at 6:31???????????? PLEASE HELPPP!!!!

  • ok its a nice information to me...thanks pola...regards from PAKISTAN ..MALIK AAMIR HERE..

  • its a SHAME people dont have a clue and dont know the difference between a real DJ and a Producer. he is only number one cause the people that love his work dont know the difference . anyway , I will leave it like that LOL what a SHAME

  • @CezAmAzeC i see him as an artist.. not a dj.. maybe you can whine bout that to djmag..

  • @CezAmAzeC its a shame how much time u waste preaching to no one who gives a fuck :/ wat a waste of human space

  • nice and clear and to the point.

  • in your living room with a cup of tea <3 haha

  • Whats the name of the song hes playing!!

  • When Armin says he puts the music key (f sharp, A minor, D flat or whatever) on his cds, is the key only sounds in the beginning, or suppose to remain constant throughout the whole track?

  • hello? serato? duh?

  • 1 track per cd holy shit.

  • @Tiesto5386 I do the same thing. It really does work quite well.

  • @Tiesto5386

Pretty much what most professionals do mate.

  • @Tiesto5386 must have alot of CD's haha

  • @Tiesto5386 i burn 5 songs per cd :D but this is dam :D

  • @Tiesto5386 that way you can mix anything with any song ..cause if you have two songs on the same cd ..it would be hard to fade it it know wat im sayin you have to have that other song on the other cd player but you cant if its on one cd

  • @Tiesto5386 yer thats wat my bro does too. its because what if your in the middle of a song and you put in a disk with 2 or more songs on it and you go for a song and you didnt get the song you wanted then it stuffs up your song

  • @Tiesto5386 so he can have it on high quality waveform

  • @Tiesto5386 Maybe the one track is like 30 min full of electronic instrumentals ..... just guessing :)

  • arm + tiesto= heaven on earth XD

  • translate to spanish pleas

  • This is funny...A beginners guide using $3000 worth of gear. Just get Ableton. :P

  • @pinoybboy2004 These sounds can be achieved with nearly any piece of kit, it's just this gear makes it easier.

  • he makes me just to be a trance dj in the future :P

  • homie it's called Serato. Soooooo much easier

  • OMG WHAT TRACK IS THAT IN THE INTRO !??

  • @LentejOfficial

The Dark Knight OST - Rank 1 vs Arnej - Smile When Your L.E.D. Dust Me (Armin van Buuren)

  • is this in Ministry of sound?

  • Check out my trance takecare! DJ EVOLUTION

  • i want a pioneer !!!!!

  • How much does that pioneer mixer cost? And should I get a synth and a drum machine to make my own tracks at home?

  • @michealdark it costs alot :P, btw you can just start creating tracks on your pc. Just buy cubase, or ableton, or logic or whatever. Enough to get you started

  • @melo477 Well, i already have Fruity Loops, but I've never been a big fan of their electronic drum sound. I usually set everything to natural drum sounds because it just sounds better to me. Then again, I usually use Fruity Loops for my grindcore stuff, since you can set it to ridiculousness (999.99 BPM! HAHA!), rather than the trance, ambient, and industrial stuff I want try now. But thanks for the advice!

  • 2:50 he says the song name

  • where can you find those cue cart...?

  • @juisic90tv theyre just sd cards. you program the cue points on your pc/mac somehow.

  • @RaynaDJ sometimes life can be easy thx man :)

  • @juisic90tv is a memory card just go to to any good dj store and ask for a memory card ?

  • song at 6:02???

  • @GuitarGod7878 Pretty much all of that 2nd track is Rank1 - L.E.D. There Be Light.

  • Those decks don't come cheap lol

  • his english is well english

  • How much costs a full DJ set??

Or how much costs an...maybe...amateur DJ set, (for beginner).??

if someone knows please tell me

  • @KornakovNikola a full set could be up to 1 to 10 grand. :/ a beginner could be 500$

  • Using a bpm counter in 21th century is the most important thing to be all honest. People who claims to be pro but can't mix two songs together while using bpm ounter. .Should retire and never claim themselves under the flag of being a dj :)

For haters -> You can see me in Prime CPH and Joker Puerto Rico & Vig Festival every year in denmark Now let's cool down a bit. Shall we?

  • @TheRealTimious ears will always beat a bpm counter though, plus they dont always work. i agree though, if you have a counter and cant mix you need to give it up.

  • if you wanna learn how to dj from anyone it should be dj kentaro fuck this trance shit

  • 8 ppl doesnt understand how to be a dj

  • LOL Learn to Dj with Armin, Hes not even a real Dj , hes just a producer. and he waits till the track has like 1 minute or less to quick Blend. Please hes NOT A REAL DJ!!!! My opinion and My observation and its a FACT! what I call Mixing is when you take one track and Mix it with another for up to 6 minutes or so , and you make the track sound like a REMIX . that armin cant do , plus he has to use Auto beat match for that and I dont. man I will leave there , END!

  • @CezAmAzeC u realize that he djs sets up to 8 hours straight??

  • @overmanlord Indeed It don't matter. all the easier for him to make it through 8 hours . I know what im talking about .and he is NOT a MIXER . hes a QUICK Blender

  • @CezAmAzeC yes, he is not a real dj thats why he has been to so many raves, making millions of euros and you're there just wacking off to his pure awesomeness :D

  • @SirMaximus21 and that's why he has choosen 4 yeards in a row as DJ number one at the DJ MAG top 100.

  • @SirMaximus21 anyways, I can see you on your kneels before this Armin .I have my opinions ,deal with it stop kissing asss you fan boy

  • @CezAmAzeC I am not kissing up... I just admire his work. I listen to his work and I wish I could be with him live, but I dont have the money.

But yeah, he is number 1 dj until proven otherwise.

  • @CezAmAzeC What you're talking about sounds like a "bootleg" ...

  • Check out my mix.

    /watch?v=lFMeU9sIOxY

  • Does anyone know what the best software to make your own stuff with is? I don't want DJ software that just has cueing for tracks, I want something to make my own base line, synth, the works. Anyone know any?

  • @IAmTheLaw09 Logic. that's what Armin uses.

  • @Flussomusic Cool. Thanks man

  • @Flussomusic No..... armin uses ableton

  • @IAmTheLaw09 most use ableton live

  • i learnin from him in ma livin room lol

  • nice the intro is dark knight

  • I dunno why you Djs argue about anything. Just let the fools be fools and later we see on a club whos the boss.

  • whats the first song

  • @gedwashere91 and for the c-d-e-f-g-a-b I don't know, but it think you're wrong, if you look at the Camelot Wheel i mentionet in my 1st reply, you'll see... + expalation for camelot wheel in vids (2nd) of ellaskins mixing in key video tutorial.

  • @gedwashere91 Yes, I figured out already! Anyone who's interested: Just search for Camelot Wheel on google, it's the graphical view of keys which ones are compatible to others. And look on youtube for mixing in key (4 vids from "ellaskins" user). Thank anyway ;) btw there's also a software called "Mixed In Key" which tells you the key of your songs.

  • 140F#.. Okay I got the number means the bpm of track, but what's that key stuff? The F#... I don't get it... Can anyone explain please? What's the difference in sounding beetweend for example F# and an other key (I don't know what are the others)? Thanks in advance!

  • @wexbroadcast google some basic music theory stuff. Most keys are Major or Minor but there are some variations. it goes C-D-E-F-G-A-B. don't ask why ;P

  • Comment removed

  • Armin is amazing but he has something with the word crauwd i dont know if i spell it right

  • SO can anyone explain what those que cards actualy do because he is a bit confusing?

  • @Cos93 Programing the cue-points of every records in the cards

  • @Cos93 every cd has an unique code name and cdj 1000 can read this code. so every cd is uniqely recognizable. armin put the cd in...system reads the code of cd...on the sd card is stored the same code and additional information, which says for example: "hot cue point A" for the track #1 is on time 1:34 etc...

it's somethin like catalog of times :)

  • I love Armin no homo

  • that`s cool !!!!!!!

  • Netshows likes this video and we invite you to promote it on the Netshows Website (netshows.us)
