Book of Mormon True? Which one? How do you know? What about the internal contradictions? How about the stuff that never existed? How about the false prophesies? Where is the proof?
@wgordon8 Yeah, it happened. We don't hide it or deny it. There are some good researched articles and books about it that aren't tainted by either side. Interesting read... just don't trust the movie based on it. It's full of crap. Anyway, bad crap happens in every religion.
@bgrishinko ummm if you look into the true facts and not the movie crud you will find that the Mormons were attacked because of following a peaceful religion, NOT like some religions that are happening now with hate and death on their minds, LDS are peaceful and do not and will not wish any ill feeling or pain to anyone at anytime.
@teacurt I'm LDS, but I hate to be the one to break it to you that every religion has bad eggs. Even the ones that you obscurely say have "hate and death" on their minds (are you referring to Muslim?, Islam?) are good religions with good people... that have some bad eggs. Unfortunately, looking at the true facts shows that the Mormon folk of Southern Utah at the time, out of paranoia due to the political uncertainty during the Utah war, attacked families thinking they were US troops/spies, etc.

@teacurt I know you weren't looking for debate. The vagueness of your comment could have been interpreted many ways, many of those hurtful. I'm glad you were cleared up who were referring to. Unfortunately, in this case (Mountain Meadows Massacre), it was the LDS who did the killing. Go to LDS.org and do a search for Mountain Meadows Massacre and read the 150th anniversary newsroom post.

I read it,However it stated MILITARY LDS were involved, so they were following orders,Just stop a sec and think about that, LDS killing LDS, not willingly I am sure!! but follow orders they must.The church is NOT responsible for massacre.wasn't an order of church only military!I am sure those LDS and non LDS military felt ashamed and horrified.The church isn't support of this action.agree 2 disagree here.we R not on same ground here. peace
