There are times... at those times I wish I was born in the 60's and not the 90's, or rather slightly before it. So many excellent music comes from that period. There is a lot of crap music nowadays (of course also good ones, but they are in the minority).

To be fair a lot of shitty music came out of the 60s. Only the best and most catchy stuff is still remembered. Just like not every movie of the 70s was The Godfather or Taxi Driver.

I would prefer the 60s and 70s more because it was the glorious time after 50s and before the 90s when we had a brief reprieve from the politically correct liberals and uptight conservatives. It was a time we expression kept getting freer and art more edgy. Now, it is receeding.

The main character was moderately racist, but that was the point of the show. Although he was homophobic and somewhat racist, he was sympathetic, not his beliefs. Part of the point of show was him growing as person and showing just how dumb his prejudices were. Some people watch that show and go, "Did he just call someone a 'faggot'?" Yeah, but you were supposed to disagree with him, but still like him as a person.
