So like in the song, the old lady loves the old fisherman who gets eaten by the big fish. She gets shown (by god?) that he was eaten, and then gets put in a mechanical fish to go searching for him.

Makes me think of The Old Man and the Sea if instead of being about the old man the story were written about his wife.

I husband goes out fishing, and later his wife looks at a clock and can tell he's been gone too long. She goes looking for him, and on the hill she sees him being eaten by the giant fish. The hand of god tries to comfort her. The wife then makes a sort of mechanical suit to then go looking for her husband, but never finds him; while the whole time he was inside the giant fish.
