From a roll the Z will win, because the turbo's will have had time to spool. If it was from a dig the Ls1 would have had the upper hand; however, the Z will catch up fairly quickly. Overall, I believe a stock TT Z is superior to a stock Z28.
any of the publications that reviewed LS1 powered F-bodies in their respective years of manufacture found them to all run 13.00-13.3 with good track conditions and drivers. later manufacture (2001-2002) cars have run 12.8s bone stock. the TT Z at its most powerful incarnation made 280-300hp and 283 ftlbs torque curb weight of 3300lbs.While camaro produces an underrated 310 horsepower and 340ftlbs torque, and weighs 3400lbs. actual figures were closer to 350 horsepower and 365ftlb torque@flywheel
@V3n0m667 The race in the video is from a roll and the Camaro pulls the 300zxTT. The Camaro with 5.7L still breathes very well on the top end so no stock for stock the LS1 will out power the 300zxTT.
The '93-'97 base model Z28/Trans Am might be slightly slower than the 300zxTT but the SS and Firehawk/WS6 versions are equal to or faster equally driven. LS1 Camaro Z28/Trans Am ('98-'02) are straight up faster than the 300zxTT.
The Z32 tt weighs the same as the LS1, both a 3400ish pounds (you may be thinking of the n/a 6cyl 300zx) and both are notoriously underrated. The LS1 is rated at 305-325hp depending on the year and the 3002xtt is rated at 300hp but arguably makes a little more.
@thetravdawg Yeah you're right about the weight, and about how these cars are underrated, more so with the z32, I think. I Really want to get one, I cant wait

@thetravdawg You sir, are correct. Both cars are great, however, the Z is still my fave ;-)

Stock for stock the LS1 Camaro will win. More horsepower and more torque and they weigh comparable amounts.

@thetravdawg Well, uh, actually, stock, the camaro has 5 more hp, along with 200 additional pounds
