Depending on the age of the lever action it may already be tapped to accept a scope. I use a lever action in .35 Remington caliber. The scope is mounted on high rise scope bases. It allows for use of the rifle's sights by looking through the sight base. It does not hinder the ejection of the spent shells.
@rawimpact yeah in the video I said I did not think the recoil was that bad... but later in the day I could still feel those shots... hopefully during deer season I only need one :)
