Do people ever just randomly walk up to you and start singing at the top of their lungs "it's fun to stay at the Y....MCA"? It looks like an incredibly long eyebrow
@ajdicks Actually when people have randomly walked up to me - and it has happened - it's because they've perceived I'm friendly and outgoing and approachable. And they're not disappointed either. The YMCA? never stayed there. Too sleazy for my vanilla tastes. I'm openly gay and make no attempt to hide this or to be something I'm not. I loathe liars, fakes, closet case faggots and deceptive people in general. Where do you fit in? I'm not sure sure what your eyebrow remark refers to.
@75capriceconvertible None of the above. Just noticing how incredibly specific it is to make yourself into a living breathing 24-hour a day monument to Glenn Hughes. I'm sure you have some likeable attributes. The jukebox and the song are very cool and stylish...the moustache eh not so much. Sorry if I offended you.
@ajdicks Hmmm. I'm not so sure you're sorry to offend - in fact I can't think of any other reason for making personal attacks on someone's appearance who is a complete stranger to you. Are you the mustache police? The personal appearance police? Do you always criticize people you don't even know? Do you laugh at anyone different, like disabled people also? Wow. I don't have a lot of leisure time but I just spent way too much of it on you. I'm on here to have fun... something you are not.
@puglet7 Yes it does! Thanks Gareth... I will have to find another good copy of this on 45rpm 'cuz I just know I'll be wearing out this one! The movie is awesome also... hope you've seen it
@tubeie07 YES! After our talks about The Long Hot Summer and such, thought I would spring this on you! LOL Glad you enjoyed it... isn't this a great, timeless song???
@mrrk Yup I never get tired of this tune myself! It's relaxing yet somehow exciting all at the same time... I guess thinking about the movie, each time I hear the song. Coopie Boy? Oh he was out playing on the patio, the birds drive him insane! They swoop down and tease him awfully. One of these days I know he'll be dragging in a dead one....
Beautiful video of the Seeburg--rivaled only by its sound! I only saw Picnic for the first time on TV about a year ago and became obsessed with it. The part that appealed to me so much was in the evening after all the events were finished the tired crowd sat in their chairs and began singing Juanita in unison. I bought the DVD and would play that part over and over and look at the faces. I do believe most of those people were locals which added so much to the effect.
@VictrolaJazz THANKS! I believe I've got the Seeburg tweaked to sound just "so"... Isn't Picnic an addictive movie? I had watched it several times on TV, then decided I had to have the DVD. Finally found it. Good thing you can't wear out digital DVDs from playing them! All my friends love the movie also. I have always loved Kim Novak in everything she does. I'm glad to hear you enjoy the movie too. You sort of notice different things each time it's watched.

This is great, and it is my favorite instrumental of all time. I like it today just as much as when I first heard it years ago.

@maynardcat I believe it's mine too! I have always love it and never get tired of hearing it, I get chills every time.
