im not a much final fantasy player but my first one was the x and i loved it. now i have meet the 7 8 and heard about the 13. and i must say they all have a nice song on there sleves. what can we expect same goes with kingdom hearts (same producers)

@LighthingWhite final fantasy, in my opinion, has the greatest music ever written for a video game series. The piano collections for the soundtracks are unbelievable and the orchestral adaptations kick complete and utter ass! Nobuo Uematsu is a genius, and the composers following him in square are great

@LighthingWhite my personal favourite piece of all the piano collections is "(Akagi) Party" from FFX-2. It's quite surprising because I am an avid Uematsu fan, but he didn't compose the FFX-2 soundtrack :(. You should listen to it, its fantastic.

Oh, don't worry. As long as you get the soundtrack, you're fine. The game was one of the worst so far. XIII beats it easily, and XIII is probably one of the most hated Final Fantasy of all time. Personally, I love it. It's linear, sure, but that's the only bad thing. The music, the character development, the fighting system, everything is great, except that it's linear. It opens up once you get to a certain point, but really, that's not a lot. Still pretty linear :D

@HoldItAgainstMeh X-2 has a really similar battle system. The story in XIII is better. It was better executed at least, though a little too dragged out in the beginning and rushed at the end. X-2 had a really good story to begin with, but the execution of it just wasn't as entertaining.

it's not exactly THE opening theme of the game like eternity, and i've only heard it in the final mission that wasn't out in the American version. i don't really know if it's in any other parts of the original game.
