something to consider: turn down your rebound damping all the way and then measure your static friction (he only took 1 measurement with)...then you'll have a more accurate measurement for your sag and you can adjust your preload accordingly. Remember to put the rebound damping back where it was after adjusting the preload.
do you turn both of them right or to the left to adjust harder?
