@ryunbaik Same problem here. Its really freakin loud and not only that, the intake tube doesn't rest on the main housing snugly. So it is constantly ratling. I managed to fix some of the rattle with neoprene foam inserts in poorly engineered areas.. Still have yet to overcome the problem to satisfaction.

is this protein skimmer very noisy ? pls let me know if you have any experience with it would like to replace my oceanic bio cube  skimmer because I'm always having problems with water getting into the collection cup instead of waste even though I adjust the air from the pump, due to water evaporation need to adjust the protein skimmer height every time water levels change getting tired of it :(

Very good skimmer. I'd definatly recommend one to anyone with a 29 gallon or smaller, and looking for a cheap skimmer. Money well spent

i have one of these on a 3.5 gal pico it started foaming with in minutes and is running really well. Worth every penny.

If you have any problems with this skimmer, just clean the collection tube/case and it should make the bubbles climb a lot higher.

I know this video isn't a review, but it is the closest thing I found on youtube. Even forums are pretty bad. Was curious if anyone has had much experience with it and how well it works. It is farily inexpensive, but I would like to avoid wasting money on it if it's no good. It would be going into a 10g nano.

Have one on a 10g nano, added a surface skimmer unit to it from Fluval, that way you get the real heavy protein laden water from the surface into the skimmer. Works great, lots of foam.

hi, just bought the rio nano skimmer and was wondering if you could help me.. Ive put it on the back of the tank and everything, but cannot get it to suck up the water, the water level is fine and the nut is tight, can you recommend anything?

dshine make sure that the water level is high and the nut that holds the tube is tight. once set do not adjust for 24-48 hours as all skimmers need to break in

Mine doesn't produce bubbles like this or suck up water at this speed when priming. So far I am not impressed.

I used it since they came out without a problem. It does not hold prime maybe the compression nut is loose. This thing is so easy to set up must be a simple problem

yah, i hold my finger over the tube and it doesnt do shit...fish store that sold it to me closed..this thing is the BIGGEST piece of crap ever
