  • Awesome. Best and most logical solution ever!!

  • literally dont even watch this part. skip to part 2. he talks the ENTIRE video.

  • fuck the rubix cube

  • This was meant to be to help peeps solve rubix cubes not talk for 5 minuits

  • I remember I invented a method... and then found out it already existed. D:

  • @BlanFan2O Nevermind, based on your descriptions, I've invented two that already exist. -_- Damn it.

  • If you follow the correct notations at the end what you acomblished will not be destroyed.

  • How Much time does it take to solve the cube with this method

  • if white is the up side, moving the down side won't destroy it. am I wrong?

  • This guy explains too long!!!!!!!!! Can you just show us the moves already!!!!!!!

  • @fireman952581 .. the moves? No memorization, remember? :D

  • just learn group theory

  • How about you just ask us to skip to part 2?

  • (in monotone voice) oh look, through magic, the entire white face has now been solved

  • LOL - no memorisation... So why does the video need 4 parts?

  • @NukkelsHD Well, let's think about it. I could have just written down 10 algorithms and it would've taken 10 seconds. Obviously, explaining things takes much longer.

  • @Stedwick Atta boy.

  • solving it once through my own means... does peeling the stickers off and putting them back on count?

  • @MaplePlayah yea

  • I meant 1:37

  • 1:40 Really?

  • I solve it in 2-3 minutes ( with memorizing ), but I'll try this method too :)

  • wasted 5mins watching him talk about methods and methods...

  • I like to take the stickers off and paste them back so that it looks solved.

  • If you guys still have trouble with solving a rubik's cube, theres a rap to it; it's actually pretty helpful.

    adf . ly/2Oxt8

  • I wanna be able to do it in 20 moves ! My record is 67 with algorithms

  • 1:05 - looks like this video isn't for me then.

  • i give up lol

  • SS'ing is for show-offs on family meetings

recently i decided to stop memorizing formulas to create my own moves and its much more satisfactory

  • Why does part 1 have more views than part 2?

  • @MyMapler331 people gave up

  • 1:10-1:30 you memo it badly i gus cause real cubeing memo does not go away in a week.

  • WTF this is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he just set up when he did the first thing

  • I do the algorithms and watch what they do so that i know how to solve the cube without memorization.

  • @bears7777777 exactly, the algs are memorised for solving fas, but mostly anybody under 1 minute for the cube understands how everything works. Algorithms don't mean you are not solving it yourself. This guys using algorithms, even if he doesn't realise it.

  • i can solve 2 layers without help but its the last layer that i need an algorithm.

  • Save yourselves 35 minutes, I can summarize this tutorial video series in a couple of sentences. Basically the method out lined is: solve the cube any way you like in your own time.

  • damn you man, two minutes about what the video's not about

  • he is only talking

  • Im like in a advanced program at school calld SAIL. and its my A.E class, so in here we are learin' how to solve a rubix cube, and i am trying to find an easy QUICK way beaucse we are dhoin' a TIMED challenge soon...Is this a quick and easy way?!

  • um, yeah ur wrong cos in the second layer we use something which are called algorithms and the same for the rest of the cube

  • @stigg9111 This is with out algorithms. He says it within the first 10 seconds

  • I learned it with memorizing algorythms...now i can make it whenever I want without even thinking it, it's just in my hands, i pick up the cube and bam...solved. No matter how many months have passed since i last made one.

    To bad i can't say this about my 4x4x4 rubik's cube:p i always forget 2 moves Oo

  • ok... how can you solve it whitout memorizing anything? O.o cause you gotta memorize things like if i wouldnt memorize anything then i wouldnt even now who i am... so impossible (for me) but still thanks can now solve my cube ;P

  • What is the website for that marshall philip guys cuz wen i typed the site it didnt work. PLZ RELy

  • wow!.... that guy managed to talk for 5 minutes without saying anything....

  • KINDA boring and frustrating!

  • I always thought if you can actually solve the rubik's cube without the algorithms...I really like challenges and I think solving it like this would be much better :D

  • before i continue watching, i'll just say that i hope ya help much on the understandation, is that a word?

  • you sir, are actually kind of wrong at the beginning. you are saying that if you do the same exact sequence of moves, it solves itself? actually, it won't. because there are over 4 quintillion permutations. that means you perform them in a pattern. you can't just perform an algorithm to solve the cube when it's messed up. imagine a cube that is messed up with 5 turns. you can't solve it with the same sequence of moves to solve a cube messed up with 10 turns, 20 turns, or 50 turns.

  • Wow sounds interesting, I am also looking for a new way of looking at the Cube. I find it somewhat useless memorizing moves only to forget them.

P.S @ DadNotTheBelt > If you were my child I would belt the crap out of you....Rude Prick.!!!

  • yah umm after you memorize it and do it at least once a day for 2 weeks u never forget... i lost mine a year ago, found it the other day, and im doing it right now.

  • U dont know jack shit u homo

  • nice cube, whered u get it? mines just a cheap one from a dollar store lol

  • This seems like a real magic cube coz it looks like the voice is coming out of it......

  • gay

  • seriously algorithms are easy If you take the time to learn how

  • the video on my channel is the easiest way to do it. no memorization and no logarithms but it can solve the cube quickly even as a beginner

  • Once you memorize something you never forget it....I went a year without even touching a Rubik's Cube and then one day one of my friends bought one and was getting frustrated...he told me not to touch it(not knowing I knew how to do it) he left the room for like a minute came back and it was solved...it looked as if I had never left my seat...he was all fucked up

  • Just wondering, in how few moves can you solve the cube?

  • @CuBeOrDiE any combination on a rubik's cube can be solved in 21 moves or under

  • @CuBeOrDiE It has recently been proven that a Rubik's cube can always be solved in 20 moves or fewer. Of course, that's not so easy in practice.

  • @Stedwick do you know where the proof for that is? i would be interested in seeing it :)

  • @Stedwick These 20 moves were found using computer generated models. For a human, it would involve knowing hundreds upon hundreds of algorithms to solve under 20 moves. It's practically like knowing the over 43 quintillion states of the cube. I know of no one in the world that can solve a rubik's cube in 20 moves.

  • @Stedwick But this method of random twistes to get the lowest possible move to solve it, that the computer does, takes into account billions of combinations. I wonder if you could do like chess players and think 20 moves ahead :o

  • @Stedwick Isn't it 24 moves? :o

  • What he said, but unlike him go to my channel and I'll show ho to solve it in less than 20 moves.

  • @CuBeOrDiE it can be solved simply in one move. This is sort of a hard question to get a solid response to.

  • @CuBeOrDiE IN theory, 20 moves, but right now probably only computers can do that

  • this guy is smart

  • just fucking tell me already why you fucking talking shit through the whole fucking video? wtf man fuck you

  • wow that is boring

  • This guy talks for ages!!!!

You would have die and been recarnated and he'd still be talking

  • boring

  • Guess what? You are really good at straying from the topic!!!!! >:(

  • Try solve a 5x5 without watching any Tutorial.. (except the Paritys) Thats a challenge..

  • @lalaoha i learnt 2 solve a rubiks cube memorizising f2l and last layer, but after a while i new what i was actually doing 2 the cube and i solve 4x4 with 1 tutorial (parity), 5x5 no tutorials, 6x6 non, 7x7 non.

  • you talk too much moron. fak off

  • Solving something by memorizing is not practical . If want to solve something you have to think and not to remember cause you will only get confused . NICE VIDEO KEEP GOING !!!

  • me and my friend had a beat that i couldnt finish this in 20 min and i just put the stickers in the right place and i won yay i diddnt tell him til after i spent the money he was mad lol

  • mucho bla bla bla pero nodice na

    <

  • I just repeat algorithms over, and over, and over, and over until I meorize it. Practice every day and it becomes easy.

  • FAKE U DUMB BUT

  • recently got given a cube and was determined to do it this time and thanks to you i have thanks for the tips i finally beat the cube at last only took 20 years :)

  • wow

  • Thanks, I hate memorizing moves It feels like I am not even solving at all! You were very nice to put this on the web! Thanks!

  • @Jupiterx5 If you just hate memorizing, why don't you try and understand how the algorithms work?

  • the fun isn't about solving it quickly... its just about solving it...

  • i find it more fun to speedsolve beating your times :)

  • @leonheart208 well when i was @ 1:00 averages i was using a seven step method and i realised when i got a four step method down and @ 20second averages i relised i didnt panic as much cause with a more step method u panic heaps and thats not fun @ all.

  • @leonheart208 thats why im solving it without memorizing alghoritms and shit :D like ppl solved it at its release :D

  • @leonheart208 What if you solve it slowly and still hit 1 min 10?

  • @leonheart208 just like everything else, it stops being fun when people take it seriously

  • about around 1.40, you could also forget the method.

and how do you forget after just a week? I didn't even look at a cube for several months and I still could solve it under a minute.

and layer by layer, you just fix the last layer after each move.

    nice tutorial though.

  • To several last coms: guys don't tell other about smth you have NO A SLIGHTEST IDEA about!!! this video is nothing for such dummies like U but a GREAT DEAL for a people like me. I practice rubiks for several years and No Memorization is really smth. trust me on this

  • "fun"

  • You're just sour because you can't memorize shit. :)

  • u suck

  • I bet that guy cant even solve that thing "for real"

  • You mean i just wasted 4:57 of my life to listen to this guy talk...

  • ɥɔnɯ ooʇ ʞlɐʇ n

  • Lol, that's what I was gonna say.

  • lol =D

  • This guy is so annoying. He's apparently really knowledgeable and his videos are informative, but he is annoying as hell.

  • i like this method. Using the yellow and blue slices as shown you can solve the orange white blue corner, the blue orange edge piece, and 4 yellow edge pieces leaving only 4 yellow corners to solve. The rest is memorization for me but nice to get that far without it.

  • thank you! I couldn't memorize the moves to finish the cube. its like entering a super long cheat code before a video game, but its not as easy as up, up, down, down, left, right, b, a, start

  • yeah thts what happens to me

  • wait where's the "start" button on the cube?

  • And 'b' and 'a'.

  • He has the original cube not the new catche but Technology containing one

  • I was joking in case you didn't realize.

  • waste of time

  • it's not a particulary fast method.. since of course recognising patterns to algorithms just becomes natural but imo a little tedious and boring... i guess the real skill is memorisation and recall, the cube is just a method to prove ur ability in that...the cube seems irrelevant

  • Yes, but it looks a lot more impressive when you don't use a method, but do it intuitively ;)

  • i saw this video a week ago....out of curiosity i got a cube off ebay... it just arrived today and i messed it up and solved it using stedwick's way....i dont know any algorithms although i would argue that Conjugates and Commutators are algorithims anyway.... but 2 methods is all i have to remember so its easy enough

  • your problem is that you talk and don't teach. i don't want to hear your stories, i already know it takes a long tim e THATS WHY I LOOKING FOR HELP. just state your name and teach. you wasted 5 mins on n.o. nothing.

  • alright. this is a very poor sequence of moves to solve a cube. He does patterns and memorizes moves he just figures them out on his own. He uses the Memorized patterns. He uses algarithms. Don't buy into this. Very poor.

  • when i solve my white side, the upper layer is not solved :(

  • do u know how to solve for the middle piece out of place? i do :D

  • JonRob2109: this method is NOT meant to be easy. It's meant to be the hardest possible way to solve the cube. It's meant to give people a challenge who are no longer challenged by doing it methodically with algorithms. It's meant to be FUN. It's the way the cube was designed to be solved. As a puzzle.

  • I think the hardest possible way to solve would be to learn all 100+ Fridich algs not this way.

An algorithm method uses intuition quite alot anyway, look up Intuitive F2L for example.

I personally dont see the point of learning this method but everyone should learn the way they want to. The more methods there are out there the better.

  • @Stedwick but if you understand how the algs fully work(i hope that made sense) wouldn't it be kinda hard not to use them cuz you may do something by muscle memory if you understand them. it happened to me once.

  • AMEN!!!!!

  • This is a nice idea but i reckon the layer by layer beginner method is easy enough to learn. Solving only gets hard when you try to do it fast, there isnt loads of stuff to memorise or practice to get under a two min solve with a beginner method.

  • for realz lol

  • for those of you who do like to solve by crosses

    try this algorithm:

    U F Bi L2 U2 L2 Fi B U2 L2 U

    :D

  • coolio :D

  • i remembered the algorithms but with playing guitar/bass i just remembered all of em by muscle memory.

  • hey thats a good idea. i play guitar too. ill make the rubiks cube song that names all the harder algorithems

  • you first need to get beginnersmethod with all memo's then do intuitive, dont start with this if you dont have experience.

  • okay, first of all, there is memorization. u have 2 memorize wat this video says, which means there is memorization. bad video!!!!!!!

  • yup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • wow, that's brilliant, so if i read a book and learned something, i'm memorizing? or if i watched a movie, video, something in reality, on tv or heard something on the radio, that's memorization right? not learning?

  • Well he was talking about learning how to solve a puzzle not learning a skill or a lesson. If you just followed someone else's instructions and algorithms step by step to solve the rubrics cube. You didn't do any thinking or solving. You left all of that to whoever gave you the instructions. You never actually learned why these algorithms work or how it got solved.

  • well show us

  • solve it for real huh fock u

  • there is nothing repeat nothing u can do without messing the cube up when u have soled the top side?? try turning te bottom side..

  • just SHUT THE FUCK UP.

    DO YOUR SHIT.

    And get the fuck out.

Fucking hell this guy never stops.

We don't wanna know your life story (I was born in a Math lab...I was reared by computers and I went to school with robots...My social life is online)

  • he talks way too much

  • Wow, what a douchebag comment. You don't like that, go learn solve your Rubik's cube somewhere else.

  • I did.

  • Lol, I guess, so that means TECHNICALLY we ALL are doing it intuitively lol.

  • Well, speedsolvers don't technically memorize stuff, i mean, they do at first, but then it becomes muscle memory and you don't forget. That's what happen to me and I'm getting sub 30 xD (Started 3 months ago)

  • So, if you memorize something well enough it doesn't count as memorization anymore? :-)

  • @Stedwick yup i like to think of it becoming more of a reflex rather than memorization

  • @Stedwick In theory, well, yes.

Are you saying that using algorithms is cheap ? No one could solve the rubiks cube when it was first released. That's why the algorithms were born.

    Good video though. =)

  • @Stedwick Technically it's not conscious memorizing, so at the very least it's not 'cheating' as some may put memorizing a rubix cube.

  • memorizing is so easy haha

  • omg! ur such a like i mean ur talking soo long

  • you can say that again! well said in the start of the tut

  • i want to learn do this than memorize all the step.

  • you're a nerd

  • You talk way to long bro just get to the point

  • yeah i do just ask me wenever u wana learn ill just make a video or trturial sry i always mis spel in every coment i leav

  • fdsfg

  • o yer in

  • does anybody knows how to solve this cube..i cant..

  • sry man this video sucks i just wanna learn how to solve the damn cube all ur rambling wastes my time. but nice effort i guess..

  • id rather memorize than listen to u!

  • well ya see i dont memorize them my hands have them emorized if i didnt do it for a month!

  • even if you learn algorithms it still takes thinking

  • no it's not.. they're is'nt any thinking for new cubers.

  • so true i stand partially corrected

  • 5 stars.

  • hey hotkid305,search for pogobat videos, how to solve rubik's cube..
