I've seen countless videos of domestic cats freaking out and clawing people's faces. I've yet to see a Savannah cat do that. Every animal has a unique personality, and its every owner's responsibility to care for their pet. Maybe people need to learn how to make better decisions for themselves instead of placing blame on other creatures and institutions.

I don't get it. All breeds of dogs and cats come from crossing breeds in the past. Many breeds from wild bread with domestic. This one is just new. That's the only difference. If there aren't a rash of reported problems, I don't see what the uproar is about. If they'd leave them alone, perhaps the price would eventually come down as more are bread and I can afford one! :)
savannahs are very loving, the reporters make them seem like they are straight out of the bush like some wild animal. any animal you raise from birth is going to act the way you raise it, period.

Now that I have established that in canada they banned pitbuls in 4 provinces. pretty nuts huh

I also think it's funny that they would put a ban on hybrid cats and not vicoious dogs! if you would like a sort of wild cat with less controversy consider the bengal cat they are just as gorgeous and funny...and exotic...they even cost less [$800-$2000]they are well worth their price.

Alot of people have Serval cats as pets, and have done since old times in Eqypt and Africa. a Savannah is breed with the serval and a domesic cats, one of the reasons being, to protect them from extinction.
