A strange song about seasick sailors, great explorers and bush league batters. It might be about the early stages of a career of touring playing music. I dunno......
A retard gene driven stream of caterwauling, unharmonic guitar screeching more worthy of a transgendered trollop pushed into a gutter after swallowing cum from multiple wayward gentlemen enjoying a night of depraved abandon in seedy establishments on the outskirts of some shining city on a hill.
James!! Scuttle your way to me quickly now, man!
Bag that cat Nelly Young tonight. Here's a stout bat. Beat the daylights out of her!
@evanmitch00 I stumbled upon that playlist too. (One of the most underrated songs by one of the most overrated artists) but I dont know where the hell you get off agreeing with the douchebag that called neil young overrated. He is known as a fantastic Artist because he IS a fantastic artist. End of Story
@evanmitch00 - Yes, most of On the Beach is that way. Neil was sub-Dylan for most of his catalog. But when Neil would quit dicking around he was one of the great singer-songwriters.
One of the best from one of my favorite Neil Young albums. Been loving this one since '74. He was surely inspired by the god's of poetry and Truth back then, as well as periodically through his later career. I love Ben's dobro too. What a soulful cat - what soulful cats were these. Heard Neil was busting up with and busted up by Carrie Snodgrass, his actress girlfriend back then. Oh well, play on brother....
@smeghead1851 Really? That must have been amazing to see Neil in '74. As a Canadian I wish I would have followed his career more closely. When Tonight's the Night was released I saw rave reviews. But I didn't like the cover and so neglected this album until the 1990's. It is now my favourite album along with On the Beach.
@accordionreid - Any time you see Neil you never quite know what you're gonna get. I saw him Baltimore '73; he did a short show that was really good; turns out his back was messed up during the tour. Saw him with CSNY 3x in '74 he was superb, they all were. Saw him '76 w/ Stils/Young, they did an excellent show; Neil played the banjo and did Dance, Dance, Dance. Again in the late 78/79 for Rust Never Sleeps and Live Rust and then again for Reator/Transformer tours. Too expensive to see him now

Neils sings this so cool . Sounds like Neil hasn't sleep in days. Such a perfectionist he probably stayed up all night to get the right effect. Neil's bango songs as Old Man and Old King and this are just so great.
better than Conor Oberst!
