If I remember, it took about 2-3 weeks to do it. But that was early days with Blender, as I was still teaching myself about character animation, as well as lip syncing.

I did not use Yafray, but Blender's internal renderer. I tested the animation without any rendering before I started rendering. One can create an OpenGL render when in the 3D view by pressing the Ctrl + the image icon on the far right of the 3D window frame.
