Shizuka wasn't an artistic skater because she wasn't trained as an artistic skater then.

I read in the newspaper that she had slept only 1 or 2 hours after the final, so she changed some arrangements for this exhibition. But still owesome! Just so beautiful!

her spirals does not suck. her spirals are BETTER. both sasha and shizuka are far more dextrous than michelle, and they can achieve leg positions that michelle naturally can't do. tell me, can michelle do a layback ina bauer better than shizuka. no. on the change edge spiral, sasha is better too. stop being narrow minded.
I think a lot of people, including myself, were disappointed that she won and thought sasha should have, but sasha fell and it want shizuka's fault. shizuka has some awesome artistry, I think here it's better than in her free skate, and she deserved this title.

Actually, what Shizuka does is the LAYBACK Ina Bauer. The original Ina Bauer does not require the skater to lean back, the Layback Ina Bauer does.
But I agree, the Layback Ina Bauer is definitely not something simple.
