@BonIverSUCKS Yeah dude! Lets go listen to some VAN HALEN or TWISTED SISTER or whatever mindless bullshit us BADASSES listen to!!!!!!!! HAIRRRRBANDS ARE EXTREEEEEME!!!!!!!! MOUNTAIN DEW!!!!! EXTREME!!!!!!!!! I WRESTLE BEARS AND PUNCH BABIES!!!!!!! EXTREME!!!!!!!!! Things I don't understand are ANNOYING and LAME because I don't understand them but as long as I make fun of them peopel will know how EXTREME I am!!!!!!!!!!! @#$#@$!!!!!!!!!! !@#$!@!!!!!!!!!!!
@BonIverSUCKS Dude. You are an idiot. If you hate Bon Iver, Keep it to yourself. You are the only person i know who dislikes such an amazing artist. You obviously do not know what good music is.
@BonIverSUCKS here's a thought, if you don't enjoy his (amazing) music, then don't listen to him.. and don't waste everybody's time commenting on his videos.
Favorite band, favorite person (Justin Vernon), favorite song. I don't think I could ever thank him enough for showing some of us what REAL music is. I legitimately feel honoured that I came across him. His music has come with me through a lot. Maybe it's a good thing that he isn't so well-known, that way he never runs the risk of being tainted by pitiful mainstream noise that people refer to as "music".
We need the music that gets people famous dispite their lack of talent, because if that didn't keep the simple and slow ppl occupied they'd actually have to use their brains and appreciate amazing music like this. And thats too much like hard work for them, i'm glad very few people get to listen to the simply stunning music that i get to enjoy on a daily basis. its what makes it unique
its because the people who are talented are too modest to promote themselves properly. whereas the listeners who buy the 'beats' shit, don't understand music like this, because they're simple and stupid. so it's everyones fault really, but everyones too fucking stupid to realise,
@Musicnonstop0 i know what you mean. i saw him at music now. the last song he did was skinny love. he didnt plug in his guitar or have a mic. i was just thinking "this is what greatnes is" when he was playing
This is just a perfect song . . . . I can't get tired of it . . . I listen over and over and over again . . . I can't imagine this song being put together any other way than this . . . Touches chords in my soul I had forgotten were ever there . . . brilliant . . .
Now this is good music. It's funny how the real talented artists like Bon Iver are less known and the ones who just put together a couple of beats are huge and famous.
@TrulyAppleStudios Remember the 60's and 70's when it was the opposite? when led zeppelin or bob dylan where the biggest thing in the world AND the best? How many decades or world cycles do we have to wait for to get back to that way of thinking?
@Genedancingmachine Well, to be honest I wasn't even alive in the rising of Led Zeppelin or Bob Dylan, but I'll tell you this. It's a rather simple statement: Radio murdered talent. We need a savior, we need a musician who is willing to first get into mainstream, then keep his or her morals and convey a message to all the mainstream viewers that Taylor Swift and Flo Rida aren't the only god damn things out there.
@TrulyAppleStudios Thank You, I really understand how you feel completly, every time i turn on the radio im like what is this shit there is no meaning. Bon Iver should be more popular, it makes me sad what "music" is now a days.
@becca151615 hip hop is not the problem, POP is the problem. There are amazing rap/hiphop artists but I'm not talking about lil wayne and the other fags. But I get your point. Basically any Indie or underground artist will always make good music. The music industry, nowadays, prioritizes money over content. That's the way I look at it.
And maybe one day I'll understand the mentality behind idiots like you that leave comments that disparage others tastes in music just so that you can get off on thumbs-up.
And, for an artist with only one album out, Bon Iver is very well known actually.
@MrKingsandCastles All I can say is, your super late to comment on this and have the time to start a hate message. This video is clearly about Bon Iver, and I left a good comment on this video to emphasize his talent as well as putting my own thoughts on mainstream music. Freedom of speech, and I'm sorry to have disturbed you with a single comment that I didn't know would recieve 232 thumbs up later, nor do I care about getting thumbs up. Do yourself a favor, and stop wasting your own time.
@TrulyAppleStudios It's called "the music industry" for a reason, it's all about marketing, business, and radio play time. What you hear on the radio isn't there for it's musical value, it's there because some guy paid a bunch of money for it to be there. Either Bon Iver doesn't have a bunch of money or doesn't crave the spotlight as much as others, that's why he's less well known.
if you dig bon iver and especially 'woods', check out the volcano choir album. they have a song on there called 'still.' its got the vocal track from 'woods' with epic instrumentals at the end.
I've just created a youtube account to tell you YES! BUY IT! I think it's my favourite album ever. If you like this, and Fleet Foxes, you can't go wrong.
i just put it on hold at the library. i don't want to spend that much on an album i haven't heard yet, and it's still kinda pricy on amazon. i'll let you know what i think about "for emma, forever ago" when i get it.
