@ Juniortorre1 // (3) ..By "excellently directional" I mean sounding like the sound is comming right at you instead of filling the room, and yet no "beamy" quality at ALL..! ..An example of a frightfully beamy sound comes frum the QSC speaker system made for Conference Rooms, where a speaker speaks to a lot of rugs, drapes and people with coats on. ...THEN QSC makes a push to sell it to Bars,, installing a lot of Promo deals in bars lk Kenny's for a time. Thank GOD that time is OVER>.!!
..(2) ..I'll talk first about the speaker it-self. ..judging by the sound, it seems the speaker has ridges along the slope of the cone, and that a fortuitous circumstance between the flexibility/ stiffness of the paper, and the actual inch-spacing and dimensioning-elsewise is producing a sound with Many Some-what Discrete Areas of Spectral Isolation. The sound is incredible, and excellently directional, with-out having any "beamy" sounds what-so-ever. Bass and treble clarity in one spkr..!
Pretty cool, especially for garbage-rescued speakers. :) ~ For a future vid, you should mix up some oobleck and place it on plastic wrap on top of a face-up speaker and apply different tones (frequencies) and watch the fun results. ~ What's the program you used at 1:02 in this, please?
@maintoc I have tried that before, the corn starch-water combination for a non Newtonian fluid. Since there are already too many videos of this, I will try one in slow motion instead of the usual. The program is Test Tone Generator
For the series/ parallel idea, well think of 4 speakers in a square. The left two would be one series, the right two the other. ..In this way I imagine I'd get some kind of "bass-wave" going with the floor. In all bass, the floor is very important. Sometimes when I'm hearing a band, there's too much "beaming" at one frequency level. (a narrow range, not a specific number) Well what can happen is this "bass-wave" gets going that crowds out other sounds... Like the singer's voice.! :)
@davieVmonster Yes, I know my 2 big stacks I have, the tweeters are very powerful as one is even a horn tweeter, so the bass does not crowd the high frequency sounds
@juniortore1 // ..(1) ..This is not what I mean. This Mod 1050 speaker, well frst off in a guitar amp there are no tweeters cuz you don't need to go that high, nor do you want to exactly. That's part of the "smooth tone" of the electric guitar. ..And don't no you idiots open-up about distortion cuz, it's this cool, smooth sound that's gettin a further goin-over.!
Yes, from the Jensen 1050 there is a clear separation of the bass and the treble. Not like it's in two sections, but like there's many small "micro sections," all along the line.
A Very exciting sound for a guitar. ..Standard electric (Corvette) plugged into it, gives Lots of direct power. Great in the cafe where I put it. The shape of the cone, other details I'm sure. My fantasy project now is to get 4 of them, mount in a cabinet series/ parallel, see if I can get a bass-amp sound out of that.
DYING TO SEE THIS VIDEO,, can't, slow server right now. Looking for Jensen "MOD" series speakers, like the Jensen MOD 1050. ..50W spkr from guitar amp. ..I got a 25 watt Fender Frontman Amp not long ago, with this 50W spkr installed. It is Awesome. Awesome for guitar..! No matter how high you run it, you don't have to worry. ..If the amp is any-where from 6 to 9 it sounds Great, the sound projecting just right to concentrate power, with-out "ringing" places along the spectrum.

@juniortore1 Many thanks. As for the oobleck, try adding a few drops of blue or red food coloring to make it more colorful.
