To do this correctly follow these tips:

1.) Use dawn dish soap to clean your controller. Once dry, handle with gloves after so you don't get any oils back on the surface, or your paint won't stick

2.) Use adhesion promoter. Why? Helps the paint adhere, stick, to the plastic better.

3.) Use Krylon Fushion Paints, any WalMart carries this.

4.) Use a Clear Coat, protects from moisture and scratches.

5.) Go to mycustomxbox . com to learn techniques/helpful tips <<<these guys are pros at doing this

I would recommend removing all the buttons completely from the case before you start painting, lest you get some in there and either paint the button accidentally or paint jams up the button hole and stops the button from moving smoothly/at all
