  • microwave?^^

  • just opening the hd up and exposing the disk to dust is enough to kill it

  • thats how you format a hardrive!

  • it sounds like a 56k modem connecting.

  • Bad sector found lol

  • there's the other side of the disc

  • HDD*

  • Why not just hammer the shit out of it?

  • Format C:/

  • How bout the other layers genius. just get a power drill and drill it through

  • Good for hackers : )

  • I wanna see the computer on while it's trying to read that shit. :)

  • @gredangeo they can't, when you open a hard drive there is absolutely no way to fix it again cuz nothing is supposed to touch the platters not even dust.

  • ahahah, is very fun!! No.

  • This is only one of many ways to destroy an hdd.

  • @infyrno917 nope not the only one .. i eat it on dinner

  • once u get the shiny stuff off its makes a very nice and precice knife sharpener

  • :58 that sounds really awesome...

  • thatsn not how you destroy hard drive

i could replace that platter and get it working again any data that was storred on the other platters will still be accessable

  • too bad you only destroyed 1 platter -- need to pull entire stack apart....

  • youtube.com/watch?v=fe8SNlhUHjQ - How NOT To Destroy A Hard Drive and How To Grunt & Curse Like An Ape

  • That's do it

  • OMG does that not go threw u it does me n ive got vol on low

  • Bill Gates has a microsoft penis

  • @Sassymui8 so does your mom

  • @cheeseweaselmudbutt So tell me, how does it feel to suck Bill Gates dick on a daily basis?

  • @Sassymui8 tastes good str8 outta yo moms ass

  • @cheeseweaselmudbutt lame and gay

  • @Sassymui8 And it's growing

  • MACS are better because it doesn't need a hard drive. Pc sux

  • @Sassymui8.... erm

  • @nowhereusa u go suck Bill gates willy

  • @Sassymui8 lol .. where do you think a Mac reads its data from?

  • @nowhereusa from the data source

  • @Sassymui8 from the data source... Ie the hard drive.

  • are you crazy?

  • Drills holes in the platter = destroyed drive

  • @Jerbsinator it is still possible to retreave anything from a hard drive that has a hole drilled through it. I dont know why you people think that that would work.

  • now put it back in the computer lol

  • How to destroy A Hard Drive

  • i just use a sledgy

  • Would be easier to just throw it out the window.

  • Best way to dispose of a HDD is a plamt pot full of thermite, melts it compleatly.

  • wtf's the point?honestly what?

  • if your goal is to destroy the data then this is not the way, you are probably only destorying 1/6 to 1/4 of it on a full HDD

  • Hard Disk's last words: Tell the mainboard I loved her...

  • is there anyway to get the disc to spin so fast it shatters

  • Got some bad sectors now aye?

  • @gunmadkiller um You don't buy stuff on your computer? you don't keep passwords that you don't want other people to get, right?

  • That will buff right out

  • JUST FUCKING BURN IT!

  • just basic software editing

  • you destroyed it basically by opening the enclosure.

  • Should be called *How to destroy my ears* that was fucking high pitched ear rape.

  • cough cough.......hammer.....cough cough

  • did you do that on purpose ?

  • Who says anything about not being able to make perfect circles :D

  • all porn destroyed

  • You should make, "How to destroy an SSD"?

  • Err.. you can do it more quickly using an hammer!

And you don't even need to connect the drive!!! ;-)

  • show us the screen!

  • Send them to a company that re-uses them. They will remove all data for you.

  • Are you aware that a HDD doesn't work like a CD/DVD? The Data on a HDD is stored trough magnetism.

  • este tipo deberia comprarse un jueguito de ceramica haber si seocupa en algo mejor jejejejeje

  • Cool. Now I know how to destroy 'an' hard drive

  • This is brutal. The poor thing. :(

  • Writing files with a screwdriver! :D

  • I used hi-explosives to wreck my old one :D :D

  • Easier is use a hummer don't u think??:????////

  • @polemonek how would using a 4X4 destroy a HDD?

  • @henritje19 You driving 100mph and crash lorie, then you don't need to worry about hdd:|

  • An HD

  • Screwdriver: Fix your problems. Like the 300 Viruses from porn movies

  • a HD*

  • @robiniroven no no, an HD. The letter H is often preceded by an not a, especially when pronounced as a letter - it is strange but true - think of a newsreader "an historic event". Put it down to the English way, not pronouncing the H at all e.g

" a 'istoric event" wouldn't sound right with a pommy accent now would it.

  • as well as the other side of that platter and all the others

  • And god created stupidity...

  • it hurts me watching this...

  • I'm a PC and destroying your hard drive was my idea!

  • @joshisdaboi Ive heard of more macs with dead HDDs actually

  • lol i actually did that to an old computer i found on the tip.

before realising that it was highly collectable and selling prices where in excess of £1000!

    bugger!

  • What about an SSD?

  • Now, take it outside and give it about 35 whacks with a sledgehammer...

  • LONG not destroyed at this way...Specialists still can get the Magnectics out from the Disk and puzle it step by step to see what it was instaled...just wanted 2 say.

  • i really dont get why people go on about how hard it is to get info off hard drives....just hit it really hard with a hammer or stamp on it until theres only tiny bits left...then put it in an incinerator...then bury the ashes 50ft underground...job done

  • @Jon5594

why bury it after it's ashes? are you saying it can be reconstructed from ashes?! how is that possible?

  • @regulatorzone i'm not saying it is i'm just over exaggerating.

  • That's how I program.

  • @sanijkt LO F-IN L!

  • @dxproductions100 You would need to find a controller board from the same make, model no., date of manufacture etc. you could probably find one on e-bay but I don't think most people would bother with all that hassle just to try to steal some info from a drive.

  • Shotgun. Just sayin.

  • According to the N.S.A. not even this system is good enough to destroy a HD containing sensible datas!.

  • @Januacaeli Sensitive data. Not sensible datas.

  • @HaniiPuppy Thanks!

  • just take a screwdriver and bend the pins where the cable connects....it the pins are bent no one can use it. I did this one time with an old drive, I was bored at work that day...just for fun.

  • Could you try to burn something on it that way? LOL

  • BULLY LOL

  • I cant look... poor hdd

  • a box cutter works really good

  • HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH A THING! Q~Q

  • @Sweetdaddyde it was dead anyway

  • Poor hard drive

  • how to make a horror movie sound tutorial?

  • How to destroy an HD? throw it out your window.

  • @Mr3xtr3m3 The disk is hard and it will survive! The hard drive on't work but fbi can retriv it!

  • @expertprogrammer not if he takes a hammer to it.

  • @batmanpronz He didnt took a hammer to it I just wanted to clarify that an hdd is not destroyed for the Fbi so hackers beaware!

  • Mò ch'è fatt'sta strunzata t'sient tutt'realizzato? Video di merda...

  • some companies are specialized in reading HD even when ur screwdrive took a ride on ur hd surface the information can still be readen

  • i wil watch my next porn like that xD

  • it was destroyed in the moment u opend it

  • You only destroyed the top half of the first platter.

  • you just made yourself a hell of a lot of 1s!

  • what voltage and how many amps wa the motor hooked upto :D?

  • Shame that everyone forgets the platters bellow the top one will still have data on them

  • let´s make funny pictures at our hdd´s xDDD

  • destroying a H(igh) D(efitition) lol haha

  • Why to destroy a HDD?

  • just separate the platters and bend them in half, they'll never get the platters straight enough to read any data off of them

  • @myschwettyballs REALLY BIG HAMMER

  • nota kill at all any good computer gu ru can recover the data

  • Went for the magnetic screw driver too.. Instant kill!

  • why do you need a tutorial that tells you how to destroy something

  • you destroy it by sending it to al qaeda, they know how to handle it

  • new wayt to format hdd

  • one platter is enough to destroy ! unless you are a hdd pro and can replace one later !~

  • Cut and glue some sand paper to this plate and you get a hell of a tool.

  • this iz soo funn 2 do i did tht wit my old HD

  • it was already broken :S the arm clicks

  • its a HDD

  • I swear I thought I heard John Lennon speaking backwards through the audio.

  • I can map the drive heads, turn off the top one, and recover the data from the bottom of the platter, and the platters below it. Nice try though! Must have been fun doing that.

  • Now this is what I call turntabling.

  • Uahahahaha

  • Im from geman i not can speak english wery good so in german:

Der leserschreibkopf hörte sich so oder so schon so an als ob er auf der Festplattenscheibe aufliegen würde von daher egal^^

  • too bad a hd has more platters and they are magnatic at both sides.

    100% gone? nope

  • i jusr grind em up to nothing

  • that HDD is formatted forever :D

  • opening the HDD chamber would be enough,

  • @VREDFOX No it wouldnt

  • @byxxi

    not instantly, but it would

  • @VREDFOX Please, do explain why

  • @byxxi

the explanation is dust, it can cause errors writing a DVD, and now compare a DVD size/volume to a HDD size/volume, you get a much higher data density and it means the data track must be very thin, of course the HDD is a magnetic drive and not optical like a DVD, but due the data compression the read/write head is so close to the surface of the disk that dust particles will cause read/write errors, i cant tell how soon it will happen exactly, but i wouldn't store any data on this HDD

  • @VREDFOX When the disk starts to wind up, ther dust will blow off, it is no problem to take off the lid

  • @byxxi

if you think so you can remove the chamber cover for better cooling, however i wouldn't recommend to do that

  • Thats great but, there are 3 more platters below that one

  • @Gondee You can't deny the 1 minute worth of a noise akin to nails on a chalkboard definitely makes for a great video...hmm.

  • @Gondee not on all drives

  • @Gondee

....and 2 sides on each platter.

  • Spinning craziness xD

  • ahhhhhhh you erased my porn :(

  • do what i do. use sandpaper

  • forever

  • Yeah, lets see the FBI try and find your illegal documents now

  • format your HD do not delete any data ..but doing this way is the sure deal :)

  • You know, as fun as that probably was, a hammer works just as well...

  • why did you do that

  • @OldTimeyJunk he is making sure all the personal data on his PC can not be access by any 1.

  • thats one surface done...

  • did u have fun i like doing it with old hd

  • do you have nothing better to do?

  • you can also rub it with a magnet like 20 times...

  • I hope this was a bad drive anyway otherwise you're a dumb ass.

  • NOT THE PORN NO

  • LOL NOT THE PORN

o would have bought that hdd

  • @WaiLoungChan All the good stuff should be backed up. Ease your mine =)

  • yeaaaaaa the police cant get information from it more xDD

  • what did you do that for?

  • fucking owned now cut it up that what i did lol

  • disk was connected to your computer ?

  • it was ALREADY destroyed once you opened the cover!!!!

  • smash it with a 10 lb sledge and it will never read again its a lot faster

  • yeah, but where's the fun it that? better torture it a bit, then smash it XD
