I guess its the same for the 400 and 300, except the time gap for us mortals (not like jeremy wariner folks) is in favor of the 300. But for him, he's reached his basically top speed

31.72 isn't a great time. I mean wariner split 31.58 in osaka, where he ran 43.45. He's capable of at least 31.2 when he's in great shape

went through 300m in 31.58 during his 43.45osaka 400m. I'd suspect he was using this 300m run to prep himself for the pace of a 43.5 or lower run,
