  • why did u burn jimi's cd's?

  • @th0mazV i mean burn like put the songs on cd

  • it is him i have it on itunes its from the in the studio reclamation

  • To the idiots that think this isnt Jimi, maybe u should buy a hearing aid because if U had a ear for jimis sound ud know straight away its real, obviously u dont know shit about Jimi. Maybe U should listen to some britney spears instead. I had the book & still have the CD. Im sick of idiots that talk crap about Jimi, shut the hell up & listen to the music. U might learn something.

  • of course it's not fake, the tape had these songs recorded as stated bellow, also you can hear Jimi talking and singing too... It's always funny when phone starts to ring in the last song and Jimi starts to sing "ain't got time, ain't got time..." instead of the lyrics :)

  • @rasomaso What song is that? is it on youtube.com

  • @thatkidinthecorner11 try this link watch?v=dFsbD0ZoNSY it's called cherokee mist :)

  • I knew that this is Jimi with his Straticaster as well.........

Thank You for the post organizedblues !

  • Fake

  • ur the only one here that thinks its fake...

  • lol it kinda sounds fake. maybe its just me.

  • @mechtech104 This is definately Jimi.

  • I knew 30 seconds in this was JIMI. It's an amazing example of how there is just something in the fingers..the way a musician touchs the insturment that gives it a tone and it's like a finger print. Call it soul? I don't know--but it may be as close as we'll ever get to what the soul is on earth. You can't see it but you sure can hear it!

  • hey that's nice

  • Really great track, thanks for posting it!!!

  • This is RARE only available from the book "Voodoo Child: The Illustrated Legend of Jimi Hendrix" by Martin I. Green and Bill Sienkiewicz, 1995. Recorded in April '68 in a NYC hotel room - Jimi alone on electric. These really merit a re-release in some form or other (on Dagger?). The version of "1983" is just beautiful, and "Angel" stayed just long enough for afternoon tea, and appeared on "Lifelines".

1983, Angel, Cherokee Jam, Hear My Train A'Comin, Voodoo Chile/Cherokee Mist, Gypsy Eyes.

  • Amazing, Jimi lets go in solos & rhythms, changes pinch, pace speed and plays with sounds spraying light and colors in them more then ever. Purple haze brought out into sunshines

    Merci

  • i could listen to this all day he seems better without effects amazing person r.i.p jimi hendrix

  • I have this on a mix I made a few years back...Never knew what it was. Just knew I loved it.

  • yea what 1980strat said, it is rare so hear this side of jimi ,playing around, yet its still his music, thanks bro

  • Thank u for tha comment:)

  • Thanks for posting this...you don't get many chances to hear Jimi fool around like this. He's still Jimi without the feedback and the fuzz. An absolute MASTER! Thanks again.

  • I love this!! it really sounds good--what couldn't the master Jimi do?

  • lol nice

  • woah, sounds great

  • Hendrix was a real JIMI,...yeah!

  • not sure if its an acoustic. sounds like a straight up Strat and an Amp with no distortion pedals.

however he has played with a Gibson but not often.

only thing i know he never donned was a Les Paul.

whatever he's playin with here sounds great though. :D

  • my mistake...i read somewhere he owned a Les Paul custom as well.

  • nice dude i love hearing a lil jimi acoustic. all i heard till now was hear my train a comin off the movie soundtrack. this rocks!

  • YOU GOT THAT RIGHT BRO!!!!

  • very nice! I love me this side of Jimmy his bluesy side

  • word

  • This is great! Thanks for sharing!!

  • This is Cherokee Jam aka* Cherokee Mist Jam from the Jimi Hendrix Apartment Tapes 1968. which is a very nice bootleg.

Other songs from this album are: 1983 - A Merman.... Angel, Hear My Train A Comin', Voodoo Chile & Gypsy Eyes.

I think you would like Voodoo Chile Organized, if you don't already have it let me know.

  • OH ok thank u jwko. i've heard all of those. and i do have the voodoo chile recording. but i dont have the others tho. think u can get them too me?

  • send me a email address in a pm and I will get em your way.

  • Thanks for posting this nice video!

  • Oh I love this organizedblues allot

  • I'm pretty sure he is playing his Stratocaster through an amp here. There are whammy bar dips at 2:20. He just has the volume low on the amp (no preamp overdrive, etc). It still sounds great!

    Thanks for posting!

    Peace.

  • ok cool. i had a feeling it was... i was wondering how he would do whammy bar dips on an acoustic... lol k i'll change the title...lol

  • No sweat, bro!

Hey, and post more if you've got 'em!

    This stuff is fantastic.

  • I think this is off of a CD that came with the comic Bill Sienkiewicz did about Jimi. A must have for any true Jimi fan.

  • cool thanks. i just found it on the internet couple years ago...lol

  • I love it. I would really like to hear more of his acoustic stuff. Thanks for the video man.
