Overall nice slow speed, good form, and very proper techniques. I've only studied 7 years myself, so please take my comment as my opinion and in no way correcting your kata. I feel that there's a bit lack of zanshin, then again maybe it's hard to see it through a video. Maybe a clearer vision of the opponent would help adjust some of your timing and would help make your cuts and deflects more believable. Thank you for the video, I think you're studying very well for your level.
@AznofHK Thanks for the comment. The iaito was special ordered from Japan, but my sensei carried out the entire procedure for me, so I don't know where he purchased it. I do like it, i think it's a good beginner's sword and it was ordered to fit my size and height. Sorry I can't really answer your question, but if you're looking to buy one, I suggest you consult your sensei.
In some of the forms, it seems as if his draw stops with the tip of the blade just inside the scabbard before he actually frees the tip and cuts. Isn't the draw and cut supposed to be in one fluid motion?
Blimey only three years at the time of recording?
You can always tell when someone has potential and your form is really very good for how long you have been doing Iaido.
I hope I will be as good as you when I have been practicing for three years!
Now I'm going to see if you have any more up to date videos.
