i cannot beat this battle for the life of me. I know it isn't required but I would like to beat it. What level should I be? I am only level 58 right now.

@darksonic170 This was my second run through the game. When you access New Game+, you have the opportunity to purchase bonuses with your Grade points. One of the bonuses is 10x EXP.
I've gotten pretty far into the game right after the coliseum event. How do you get this secret event with Flynn? Can you tell me before I miss this : D
@TheGlowAngel It's not a secret event, it will happen as part of the story. IIRC, though, you have a while until you get there. This event occurs almost immediately before you can enter the final dungeon. So don't worry about missing it!

@Dominichunter5 Yeah, it is. It's been so long since I've played this game, so I cannot remember the name... but basically, when you get a certain number of hits, you trigger Overlimit. There are multiple levels to this skill as well. You'll notice at the end during the final Mystic Arte I actually hit Overlimit level 2 because of all the hits Savage Wolf Fury has. Sorry I can't remember the name D:

If you was checking his health can't you just hold RB to show the targeting and see his health like that?

@legendaryhero123 Reaching level 200 isn't that much of a bother with 10x EXP and the optional dungeon. You get INSANE amounts of EXP from the bosses in there. You will never actually need to be level 200 for anything in the game, but it's not that hard to reach the cap.
@legendaryhero123 I went that far without 10x exp. Its an awesome game, with lots to do. Easy to hit that level when doing all the sidequest and everything else. Ps3 version even more easier to do it in.
@supermariojason You gain additional attacks from certain skills. I haven't played this game in a LONG time, but I think the name of the skill was... Combo Plus? There's Combo Plus 1, 2, and 3. Plus 1 adds 1 extra attack, 2 adds 2 attacks, and 3 adds 3 attacks. I don't remember which weapons carry these skills, but I do know that Combo Plus 3 comes with the Blazor Edge Abyssion after it's been "unlocked".

@mightygalactus24 Well, I think I went a little bit overboard with the Destruction Fields while in Overlimit, but otherwise, I just stuck with my little combo. And to be honest, I prefer Final Gale over Frigid Blast. But that's just me.
That's actually exactly why I did that. At the time of recording this, I was playing on an 18" SDTV. It was hard to read the text, much less see those tiny numbers, so I had to Magic Lens it to read the HP.
One of Yuri's skills, the Tension series, allows you to enter overlimit after you get a certain number of combo hits. The first one is, IIRC, 26 hits.
You have to synthesize Overlimit Trio or Overlimit Quattro (or something like that). They only become available after a certain point in the game, though.
no it's not^^ well i don't want to spoil anything so...i just want to say that there are some things left to do ^^...and costumazing is when you go into the shop and its the..3rd or 4th option there you can make create it there.

Awesome job dude. The Unknown Mode is totally insane... but you were way overleveled XD I agree that is the coolest match in the entire game and Fury Sparks is godlike (as much as Chance for a Big Reversal). This match reminds me the Lloyd vs Kratos match in ToS (and that was the best fight in that game too XD), even though Kratos is way cooler than Flynn v-v I was very pleased to know that you can fight against Kratos and especially in the Coliseum is a tough customer, he does crazy combos
I know I was overleveled xD I could've gone overkill and use the Fell Arm, though. Of course, this isn't a video showcasing my skills or anything like that, it's here just to show everyone how awesome Tales of Vesperia is :D
And that's a totally awesome kicking-ass title @-@ I'm at my 2nd playthrough (100 hours more or less) and I have still things to do... and things that I missed, even if I used a walkthrough (but only for the MANY sidequests XD); I have to fill that damn collector's book too, it's a pain like it was in ToS XD
i finally got this game ^_^ it rocks so fucking much, pisses me off that ps3 version is getting flynn and new mystic artes T_T. i didnt know yuri could get more blastias, i wanna get at this point having unknown but the grade shop seems annoying, gimme a break if im wrong, im on my 1st playthrough. also nice combo at 1:49 :D you play very good
The grade shop isn't as annoying as you may think. You'll probably get enough grade to get whatever you want on your first play through (Except maybe 10x EXP), and grade carries over for all your playthroughs. And there are people who combo far better than I, but thanks :D

Yeah, I have both xD The Song is called Fury Sparks, and probably one of the best pieces of music in the game. Of course, all the music in the game is great.
It's been awhile since I've played, but I believe they're called the Tension skills. There's 3 or 4 of them, and you get them from Yuri's sub-weapons.
Because it's the "canon" weapon. I'm using it for mere visual value. I could've used a stronger weapon, but I was a bit over leveled, so I didn't see a need.
You get them from the enemies that look like stars. I don't remember the locations off the top of my head. You could probably get them off a site like GameFAQs or something.

It's the White Knight Sword. You actually get the weapon after this fight, but for whatever reason, no one in the party can equip it.

Awesome job dude. The Unknown Mode is totally insane... but you were way overleveled XD I agree that is the coolest match in the entire game and Fury Sparks is godlike (as much as Chance for a Big Reversal). This match reminds me the Lloyd vs Kratos match in ToS (and that was the best fight in that game too XD), even though Kratos is way cooler than Flynn v-v I was very pleased to know that you can fight against Kratos and especially in the Coliseum is a tough customer, he does crazy combos

And that's a totally awesome kicking-ass title @-@ I'm at my 2nd playthrough (100 hours more or less) and I have still things to do... and things that I missed, even if I used a walkthrough (but only for the MANY sidequests XD); I have to fill that damn collector's book too, it's a pain like it was in ToS XD

i finally got this game ^_^ it rocks so fucking much, pisses me off that ps3 version is getting flynn and new mystic artes T_T. i didnt know yuri could get more blastias, i wanna get at this point having unknown but the grade shop seems annoying, gimme a break if im wrong, im on my 1st playthrough. also nice combo at 1:49 :D you play very good

The grade shop isn't as annoying as you may think. You'll probably get enough grade to get whatever you want on your first play through (Except maybe 10x EXP), and grade carries over for all your playthroughs. And there are people who combo far better than I, but thanks :D

Yeah, I have both xD The Song is called Fury Sparks, and probably one of the best pieces of music in the game. Of course, all the music in the game is great.

It's been awhile since I've played, but I believe they're called the Tension skills. There's 3 or 4 of them, and you get them from Yuri's sub-weapons.

Because it's the "canon" weapon. I'm using it for mere visual value. I could've used a stronger weapon, but I was a bit over leveled, so I didn't see a need.

You get them from the enemies that look like stars. I don't remember the locations off the top of my head. You could probably get them off a site like GameFAQs or something.

Flynn has a sword called White Knight Sword. You get it after you beat him, but for whatever reason, you can't equip it.

You need 1 of every color Star Gem (It's been a while, but I think the colors are red, blue, green, orange, dark, and light) and a Rare Metal. Some of the materials aren't listed when you go to synth it, so be wary of that.
