I don't like the digital videos that she does as far as backdrop. Her other videos like "Chief" are much more organic, matches her music and style. These videos just feel forced to conform with everyone else
I love her music but her organic music videos are better, like CHIEF. This video does not help the song. Effects don't always make a music video better
@lethercry /// Unreal. I just posted a comment to a different vid of Patty and I said the exact same thing, "She could sing a grocery list and I'd be in tears and rapt attention." I thought I was being original and avoiding the cliche "phone book." Oh, well, no thoughts are original. But Patty sure is.
She is one of the best!!!! Check out of her songs. The Rexall Rangers say "Thank You" for letting us upload this song. We don't do the song justice, but give a listen.
I heard her by accident when I was surfing radio channels while driving - she was singing "Stand for the Ride" - I was SOOOOOOO mesmerized I had to wait to hear what amazing singer was singing this amazing song LONG after I parked my car. I just HAD to know! Now I do know who she is & I can't wait to hear more! does anyone have a video of "Stand for the Ride." ????
If you think this is hot, you have to see her do it on the tour. Smoking hot jam! Her band is awesome, and a perfect fit for her music. I hope a live video shows up eventually.
Everyone who loves Patty agrees that she isn't exposed to enough people. Such talent deserves to be in the spotlight! I have to admit, I enjoyed her Flaming Red album more than Impossible Dream (though the design was beautifully done), but Love Throw A Line is very unique. Its rock meets gospel with a little New Orleans flavor! Aesthetically this video is quirky and fun to watch.
Check out her website for tour dates. I'll be seeing her in Northampton, MA on April 21st and she'll be in Boston a few days either before or after that.
I'm a 46 yr. old South Jersey Springsteen nut. I came across Bruce's "Racing in the Street" done by Patty Griffin. I must have been living under a rock or something, because I have never even heard of her. She is fantastic. Why isn't she more well known? Where is she from? How long has she been performing? She is very talented.
Best songwriter ever!

Great Video!! I have no idea why Patty is such a recluse! Somehow I think, she thinks, she isn't good looking! I think she looks fine!
She is from Maine and moved to Texas!
Wish I could see her more! I have seen her once in Massachusetts and she put on a great performance!!
I would like to see her record more as well!!!
Patty, wherever you are, come out and play!!

Not well known? She's been nominated for a Grammy no less than 4 times.

She is actually well known, but only by people and musicians who listen real worth music and not by the fake music comercial industry.
