Oh, I do like Myst music. Very 'ethnic' (I hate that word but can't find a better one) inspired. I think a duduk is used as well if my ears remembered the sound correctly.
Man the imagery and music alone make this game alone the greatest. If this company would like to still make money they better ditch Uru and make more of Myst.
I listened to it for the first time today on the radio (a local radio station plays symphony like music) and they played this along with a version of Tetris. Needless to say I fell in love with it.
2:10 is in Myst III Exile, it's the Air Chip Chasm at the end of Voltaic age. But 0:51 is still a mystery. I've played every single myst game, never found that one. it could be concept art, or a discontinued place. it could also be a place in the online version of uru, which doesn't exist anymore (there were a lot more ages then the original uru)
I am pretty sure 0:51 is from the game Schizm: Mysterious Journey, more precisely from a place called "Matia's island", near the endgame. I can only recommend Myst lovers to play Schizm, it is amazing and with very challenging puzzles.
I liked it a lot, it has a very cool environment, and the sound and graphics are really beautiful (try to get the DVD version though). There are a few characters in the game, but you don't get quite the same feeling as with Atrus and his family. But the puzzles are just as challenging as in the Myst series, I would say it comes closest to Myst 4, Revelation, which is my all time favorite game. Be aware, that some of the puzzles in Schizm require certain skills in Math. I recommend it strongly!
Ya, I think there's like mad dispute on what language this is in, but it's some language from the game. Possible Serenian? In any case, it's an amazing song!
I love myst its an amazing game but have you noticed that .... it has some what of a scary ancient evil feel to it ... the way the technology and the mysteries are set out lol i jutst think it
yes thats true i get that feel too, but you get a certain pull in your gut when going to new dark and evil places, mix that with the liight heartedness of getting a breakthrough on a hard puzzle, and its one of the best experiences i could ever imagine.

0:51 is Myst III - Voltaic Age, the watergate
1:25 is Myst IV, the garden room
2:05 is Myst III - Voltaic Age, Air Ship track
2:40 is Myst III - J'nanin, the main building
3:15 is... Achenar's(?) room in Myst. It's whichever brother likes poison.
3:51 I'm not sure (looks like a Riven think, I think)
4:15 is Riven - near the uhm, underwater travel sub

Nonsuch. Uru is myst. At least, it's hardly devoid of music and imagery. And it's certainly not devoid of the puzzles.

unfortunately number 5 seems to be the very last (End Of Ages) sad story...

My only complaint of this song: It's too short.
I listened to it for the first time today on the radio (a local radio station plays symphony like music) and they played this along with a version of Tetris. Needless to say I fell in love with it.

The games visuals are stunning, but I lost interest playing the first game as the puzzles had no logic to some of them, some were downright bizarre.

jman1067 3 years ago
@justin20877 It is a constructed language named Narayani.
Arancaytar 1 year ago
I'm not sure It is a real language. It's supposed to be D'ni I think.
Mutnt 3 years ago 3
Yes it's Dn'i, the language of the game.
HGQSCF 3 years ago
@HGQSCF They invented like three other languages too... this one sounds more like Narayani. The themes from Myst 4 and 5 ARE written in D'ni.
