What if it was my whole dock and cydia disappeared with it because of scrolling board

If you lost you contacts icon, voice-memo icon or anyother icons after upgrading to IOS 5... then you should follow this method:

1) Connect your iPhone to iTunes & then sync them.

2) Now in iTunes, on left hand column, Right click on your device & then click "Restore from Backup".. & let your mobile restore... & try to sync again..

3) hopefully after that there will be a utility folder fond in your iPhone... & all your missing icons will be there... hope it will work for u!

Some times the apps are deleted. If you use SSH or iFunBox/iFile and put the application file into the symbolic link called application in the root they should show up and work. Unfortunately you will either need to download the filesystem illegally or use another iphone/ipod/ipad to find the file. Sorry if this was not helpful. Ill try to make a video once i fix mine. Hey. You look like a smart guy that can please help. I update smy software for the first time in a while. I have video that is missing. I was also missing all of mycontacts and photos and googlesd and found them. Since they were "classified" as photos by my iphone 3g they can't open. How can I retore them from my pc as the other stuff was there though itunes erased them? Please and thank you, advise. A few are priceless, of my son.

I had a problem with Mail freezing every time I used it. I have Backgrounder installed and found that Mail was set for Native multitasking. I switched it to Backgrounder multitasking and it seems to have fixed the problem.

i jailbroke a 3.1.3 ipod touch, straight after installing anything from cydia or installous the icons just all vanish and it only says the app name, i have not installed categories, how can this be fixed, after rebooting ipod all apps show up again "/

1) Go into cydia 2) Search and download 'Sbsettings' 3) Swipe the top of your iphone/ipodtouch screen 4) Click on 'more' 5) Click hide icons 6) Scroll down until you see the icon that has been hidden and select the 'on' button and there you go!

i had the same problem, it bugged me for ages, you dont have to go deep into the root folders or whatever, or go into settings, go to the first pages of the iPhone of iPod touch where it allows you to search for apps or folders, in there type in whatever hidden folder you are looking for and it should come up, the app is still in your phone just hidden, i hope this helps, message me if you lost ;)

My problem is kinda similar but evertime i try and launch categories an error message pops up and i cant get into the app to edit the apps in the folders and i cant take out the apps....... i tried to reset the SB and uninstall catergories but nothing has worked! any suggestions?????

Awesome, but what if I upgradedto 3.0 and can no longer jailbreak? I can't seem to downgrade and I can't get to Cydia without jailbreaking. I also cant get to setting because it was in a category folder. Thanks...

1) You notice an App is missing 2) Go to Settings 3) Go to General 3) Scroll down to the Bottom 4) Go to Restrictions 5) Touch "Enable Restrictions" 6) Enter a Numer 7) and confirm it 8) Scroll down to Apps 9) Touch "Don´t Allow Apps" 10) Press Home-Button 11) Now all Apps expect the Apple-ones should be gone, restart iphone 12) Repeat step 2 to 8 13) This time touch "Allow All Apps" 14) Go back (do use home button) and disable Restrictions 15) Press Home-Button
