  • I had forgotten about this track. What a gem it is though.

  • Sounds like something in Pirates of the Caribbean

  • I feel like jousting over some roofs, into the night, while only the moon and the stars watch over me,and as everything else just lays there silent, leaving room solely for the sound of my footsteps.

  • This song needs to be longer. I'm constantly hitting replay D:

  • why venice? this sounds when u fight in Florence

  • I wanna be an assassin when I grow up and parkour all over the place......

  • The comments are so funny on here. Hahaha!!!

  • If this game had a tutorial sequence, I say this shoud've been the music.

  • I went to florence and venice on holiday this summer. After playing AC2, I will never be able to go to those places again without having the feeling that i'm in the 15th century.

Plus, resisting the urge to do some sweet ass parkour on the rooftops, and maybe assassinating some guards every now and again :)

  • @MrVernacoliere I'm so jelly.

  • I just visit Venice few days ago, and when I arrived in the city, on a vaporetto, there was this song playing in my iPod. Epic !

  • When I went to Firenze, I was like "I climbed that" and "I jumped from here", and this music couldn't get out of my head!

  • I was in Venice.

Felt like I was in XV century.

    Like an assassin.

  • lol! when i hear this song and look over to my neighbors then i see ezio and some guards running after him on the roof while my neighbors are waving to me lol!

  • Riposa in pace pulsante riproduzione

  • lawl

  • I sang "damm da da da damm damm da da da damm damm da damm" over and over again ^^ 'cause i love it *___*

One thing to say: ASSASSINATE THE REPLAY BUTTON! >:D

  • Great track, I can picture being chased by the filth just from listening to it.

  • Me gusta

  • This is my cell phone's ring tone. Haven't changed it yet.

  • I will remember this while im running away from gaurdas AND DOING PARKOUR!

  • Reminds me of "Town Square" from Spyro for some reason O_o

  • @TheStimpyland Oh, Spyro. One of my best childhood moments!

  • @Dexprime

I played the first Spyro, and it was great. I only got it after a friend requested it, though. I wish I grew up with that game, but yet again, I grew up with Jak & Daxter (but not the crappy sequels) so I can't complain xD

  • @TheStimpyland Lol. I must say that Naughty Dog and Insomniac Games are one of the bests. Oh yeah, and Ubisoft for Assassin's Creed and Rayman (but Raving Rabbit it's crap). :D

  • @Dexprime

Correction: NaughtyDog WAS good. Jak 2 screwed them over, and while Uncharted isn't bad, it's definitely overrated. I never played any of the Rayman games except for Rayman Rush, but I did enjoy it.

  • @TheStimpyland Yeah, the first J&D game was the best between the others. I can't even imagine how many times I got pissed just by failing on missions in 2 and 3. Uncharted it's actually one of my favorites games on PS3, it's pretty cinematic, along with Ratchet & Clank, Resistance and inFAMOUS (I also love Sly Cooper series). I mean, these are one of million reasons to buy a PS3.

  • @Dexprime

Never played Sly Cooper, but I really would like to. I have inFAMOUS (and I LOVE it)

I recently got inFAMOUS 2 and it is GREAT!

  • @TheStimpyland Hope I get a PS3 soon enough. I can't resist, there are too many awesome exclusive games coming up this year DX

  • not all templars are bad.im mean that in the game those templars were using thier christianity to do what ever they want.so yeah

  • @skitzol4dhuntersYAY the templars were good guys in the game and in real life but in the game they never disappeared and the ones from the present are the bad guys

yep thats the story with them...

  • @mosu95 what?can you explain a little more clearly please?

  • @skitzol4dhuntersYAY in real life: the templars from the past were a military unit in god's name founded in 1129 disbaded in 1312

in the game's world: they never dissapeared after they founded but remained till the present... and now in the present they want to control the world... actually they want peace and stuff like that but by controlling all the world's population using the pieces of eden

  • @mosu95 wow.that was comepletely acurate.

  • @mosu95

the templars were not the good guys and neither were the assassins in real life

read some history on both of them

  • @yoneverknow123 the assassins werent good guys in rl... yeah right... but the templars werent good guys?

  • @mosu95

no, if we believe they were good, we would be entirely wrong, they were good in the start but they quickly grew corrupt

there is a lot of information on them, try to do some research on them

  • @yoneverknow123 "Historians believe Philip IV suppressed the Knights Templar to gain control of their wealth, not because he thought they were corrupt"

    i did some research... AGAIN

they were accused of sacrilegious acts, homosexual sodomy, and not believing in god by Philip IV...

and i did much research on the templars and assassins after playing the first game... i wouldnt say anything about any if i wouldnt knew anything...

  • @mosu95

    that is a contested fact

but the templars were corrupt in many ways, some historians are of that view and some think they were not so we cannot really know the real truth here

but according to the books I read, the templars were corrupt and were no better than a gang of thieves

if you search from google, unreliable sources will always be found and we cannot know which one are correct and which one arent

  • @yoneverknow123 i believe they werent.... this is just my oppinion...

  • Ah how I've longed to find this track :3.

  • this is just epic!!...when i first heard i thought it was a brotherhood theme thumbs up if you agree

  • I LOVE THIS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG

  • took me forever to find this track 'cause i was expecting a title with 'Florence' on it. silly me :P

  • I guess there are 5 new Templar Conspirators.

  • 1:33 that's how long it took Ezio to get from Florence to Venezia..

  • @Obanity lol ur retarded, rome sucks

  • Hahaha it plays right from the beginning when you run away from the Vespuccis' guards lol what a misnomer!

Regardless, it's one of my favourite tracks off the OST; it sounds so refreshing and so....aaahhh how could I describe it?

    Jesper Kyd rocks.

  • When i went to Venice Italy while studying abroad, i would walk around the streets with my ipod in listening to this. Man i had the urge to assassinate some bitches.

  • I am an avid horse rider, but haven't gone for ages. (Don't ask)

Yesterday I went for the first time in YEARS, and honestly it was like a breath of fresh air. I swear this played in my head when we started galloping.

  • @DynamicScherzo Got any swords to trip Templars from your horse?

  • @DynamicScherzo Now that you said that and I have played this game, it's going to happen to me if I ever get a chance to ride again. God I miss riding! My school has a team but it's all about shows and fundraising, I just wanna go trail riding and goof off in a field.

  • when i heard the music i looked at my neirbours rooftop and then i saw Ezio running away from 23 guards :D THUMS UP FOR EZIO!!!!

  • @mrtimmy2234 : Is it possible that YOU have 23 guards ? And Ezio stopped by for a Meet'n greet , But then he begun running like hell 'cause your guards were chasing him ? I know that I'm gettin' too far xDD

  • im gonna use this sont in a video of me trying to be Ezio like...

  • all the assassins creed songs should be retitled "nostalgia"

  • Reminds me of Spyro the Dragon. :DDDD Epic win in my nostalgia memories!

  • 5 DISLIKES: TEMPLARS AHAHAHA

  • This is a perfect example of how AC2 went in the right direction and took itself less seriously than AC1--upbeat, and wonderful music!

  • 5 dislikes.....damn the borgias again...

  • Do you know assassin creed was made in Montreal quebec????.. about time to have a SUCCESS in my province

  • @royalsuperknife In my city, too :D

  • @royalsuperknife Dude, totally agree. I'm from Montreal and I'm also Italian.

  • It's my ringtone!

  • Maybe Ezio thinks about the past in Venice. When he's in Florence. If he traveled back there that is.

  • best song

  • this songs plays when u are fighting guards dickeds

  • this is (in my opinion) the best song in the game

  • brotherhood has a song that looks like this one but with a twist

  • Good song :))

  • Some parts of this song reminds me of Spyro...

  • @Girreportingforduty ??? spyro? lol random.

  • @Girreportingforduty heh heh. I completely agree!

  • BEST SONG EVER!!!!!!!!

  • awesome song lol

does anyone know the one that plays when the other assassins come near the end to help you fight whats his face? i can't remember his name sorry

  • @Byakuya847 You mean cesare??

  • @Dev22100 but does he mean ac brotherhood if he do then yes it is cesare

  • @Byakuya847 Assassins Creed I- Al Mualim (Malik and his small band of troops)

Assassins Creed II- Rodrigo Borgia (the apple of eden made clones of ezio)

Assassins Creed: Brotherhood- Cesare Borgia (La Volpe, Claudia, and others join to fight)

  • @Byakuya847 assassins creed I- Escape theme

    assassins creed II- Notorious

    Assassins creed:brotherhood- Villa under attack

  • this song plays only in florence...

    wow brainshift memorality

    x(

  • Oh the irony. :D

  • why in the holy name of f*ck is this playing in Florence? no logic there

  • FINALLY I FOUND THIS SONG :D

  • @RozenMaidenTraumend haha me too

  • i looked after this song for years and then i found out the name of it is:BACK IN VENICE and has bee playd in florece

  • @mrtimmy2234 the games only been out for a year in 2 weeks..how could you have been looking for years?

  • @StingKing456 I think he meant it metaphorically, as in that he was looking for this piece of music for a long time, rather than actually "for years".

  • Hey people stop arguing! This song has the right name! It plays only in Florence because it just says to us 'Hey, what are you fucking doing in Florence? Immediately go BACK IN VENICE!' :-D

  • @Xamirr116 See everyone? that's a constructive, funny comment!

  • @Xamirr116 idk it seems like a back to the good ole days with ezio causing trouble and mishaps.

  • @Xamirr116 lol i went to florence today cuz i got bored of doing the normal story line... while i was there i dyed my clothes Red/Scarlet

  • This song never wears out. I keep listening to it! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

  • Best song in AC2. The name....... i think we all know :) but who cares about the name!!! i just luuuuurv jumping away AND on guards listening to this.

  • I NEED THE GUITAR TAB FOR THIS

  • Comment removed

  • THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG :D

  • I wish Jesper Kyd composed the music to Avatar...and every other movie that is awesome in one way or another.

  • I find that this song is very happy for battle with guards. It give a touch of humor, happiness and... *searching the word*, a touch of lightness not in the sens of light and darkness but it the sens of weight, it's light. Cheerful, happy. When this song I enjoy taunt the guards while playing with their weakness, they can't catch Ezio. ^^

  • at 0:21 sounds like a victory part

  • Pazzi ain't got nothin' on mah 1337 counter-karate skillz.

Is what Ezio would say if he lived in 2010.

  • Florence fight, or Back In Venice

  • i lived in italy for the first 7 years of my life, i dont remember much but i can tell you its beautiful there, if youre in college and you want to do a fascinating research project do it on italy.

  • This sounds so British. Like in pubs, they dance, drink beer and play this song!

  • @TheVGamer I swear we don't. Although I wish we did, I'd go to pubs more often. ;O

  • good memoryes good good moreys

  • Funny coulda sworn this was in Florence when being in a fight, This is one of my Favorites, I guess they changed it to Florence when placing it into game.

  • From All these AC II soundtracks,

I get the energy to climb every building in my street....

  • No wonder I couldn't find this...

  • Great song !!!

  • lol this is the florence chase theme :P a remix of home in florence

  • 1 templar disliked! cmon brothers! lets locate the target and assassinate him!

  • @NEMESIS1191 yeah assassinate him,cut his head and throw his bloody body in a car!^^

    use the double hidden blade

  • @Doof1945 if i use the double hidden blade the game will freeze so i'll rather use sword! XD

  • @NEMESIS1191 i am with you brother !

  • @NEMESIS1191 take no prisoners brother! I mean... "prisoner"... XD

  • Wellcome to Florence...I mean wellcome to Venice

  • One dislike, it's the Spaniard.

  • @GRiiGGs everytime the spaniard appears in the cinematics I go like "ezio, kill him!!!" but you don't get a single chance to murder him in the first missions =(

  • @GRiiGGs He also has a wife and 3 kids

  • @razlatkin Literally , ahaa ! :P

  • @razlatkin Good lord, they're multiplying!

  • @GRiiGGs 5 now.. He's used the apple.

  • @GRiiGGs

and his family. (or he just made 5 accounts :P)

  • @GRiiGGs 70 Likes.. it's Ezio!!

  • @attomal Then why does it say 345 likes...

  • @jetzshook

it says 345 votes for like

  • @jetzshook I meant Thumbs up.. i'm sorry for the fail

  • @attomal Oh okay I thought you were talking about liking the video

  • @GRiiGGs no, its Rodrigo, Cesare, Al-Mualim, the followers of Romulus and the templars. ^^

  • Sounds so much like a Spyro theme, its lovely~

  • i find it funny that there is only one dislike

  • @TheVader61 no es culpa de el, sino de los creadores del juego que pusieron como título Back In Venice y era Back In Florence.

  • the begin sounds like the intro music of ; deadliest catch :$

  • Whoever was naming the tracks and Jesper Kyd probably didn't collaborate very much.

  • Funny, this song actually plays as the combat music of Florence...

Or is it becasue Ezio's reminded there's more combat for him in Venice?

  • This song is not "Back In Venice" but "Back from Venice"

  • This game is 100 times better than Final Fantasy XIII.I mean AC2 has better combat mechanics, better rpg elemetns (well AC doesn't have XPs but there's armor and that), and bigger and better world! Oh and yes, depper and far better story.

  • Great song nonetheless.

  • nice fusion music

  • This is epic =)

  • * beginning

  • Its sword battle music yet its so upbeet and cheerful taht it sounds more like music for a silly bar brawl.

    Very youthful of Ezio.

  • @dougd1015 bar brawl is an excellent description of this song, indeed

  • Comment removed

  • why is the song called back in venice if the song only plays in florence

  • @medicalpills Same reason the song "Ezio in Florence" only plays in one specific section of Venice gameplay: UbiSoft was on crack or didn't care enough to change the title.

  • @medicalpills Yeah....This song has played when Ezio engages enemies in Florence....But why the hell this song named back in Venice?....

  • @medicalpills Probably a decision made after the song was written.

  • @medicalpills it plays when u enter venice to

  • @medicalpills stop quoting the TV Tropes page! =P

  • @medicalpills it plays in both actually

  • this distinctly reminds me of either running, or being surrounded and trying to counter kill them.

  • @elgostine i loved, just starting able to kill, that all the guards were rookies, id love to gust stand in one spot, taunt and counter kill them one at a time. so im surrounded by corpses, feeling like some samurai master from the movies that kills with one parry, then a kill, dispatching large groups of foes.

  • Funny how you talk to yourself elgostine :|

And before you loot thousands of civilians, it's better to work on your uncle's house. You'll get lots of money, you don't even need it.

  • This is the one IGN is always playing in the videos...

  • this is 1 of the great songs in ac2

  • i first heard this when i was running from the guard because i was caught with christina vespucci at the begginging

  • @AwesomeGamer4

Yeah... made me lose my boner in an instant.

  • Ironic that this plays in Florence

  • @janissary211 do you know the meaning of irony

  • @AwesomeGamer4 apparently 50 other people don't either. :\

  • You know, this actually reminds me a bit of the Halo games in the sense of the percussion. Its awesome and is the set for the beat but doesn't steal the show!

  • @Sn1p3rSh4wn I agree, it sounds sort of like Martin wanted to change the soundtrack for Halo and make it have an italian feel to it, like how he had the Jazzy feel to Halo 3: ODST.

  • lol tis remind me wen i was finishing the game LOL gud times
