  • this is crazy awesome! those old guys pick like demons!

  • His work on Bonnie "Prince" Billy's album called Sings Greatest Palace Music is some of the most tasteful steel ever laid down. Check it out if you can...

  • hi Mike... great to see you playing on YouTube, used to see you in Bill Anderson ALL THE TIME in PA, NJ, DE, MD, etc... remember me and Sandi, and you and Monty used to hang out? lol... that was a LONG LONG time ago, telling my age now... you are Awesome as Always!

  • Why can't I get my Emmons to sound like Mike's?? lol......It takes a steelpicker to fully understand how much time goes into great playing like this! People like Mike are an "inspiration" to all of us!

  • This man is awsome on pedal steel guitar. I remember when he was the staff band steel guitarist on the talent show hosted by Jim Ed Brown back in the 80s.

  • @d10msaclassic Yep, on "You Can Be A Star". He also was the Staff Steel Player on "Be A Star" hosted by Bobby Randall & Lisa Foster, then on "Charlie Daniels Talent Roundup"

  • Mike is a awesome steel player . I watch him all the time on Country's Family Reunion on RFD tv . Where was this filmed at .

  • We had Mike & Joanie play at our February 2010 GA Steel Guitar Show.

Yes, they are both awesome. I will post some more video soon.

    Bill

  • @maynard6478 what I admire about Mike, aside from his OBVIOUS Talent on the steel guitar, is "how humble" he is about his playing... he LOVES what he does and it shows and he is a regular guy, and his smile goes on FOREVER and EVER... gotta love that!

  • Mike is my FAVORITE player.
