That's great! I'm no expert but as I've been researching a lot because I too am getting into the world of music, it is sometimes suggested that a good pair of studio monitors with a flat frequency response (meaning no frequencies are over-accentuated when they shouldn't be, leading to something you thought was good until you listen to it on another platform) are better than headphones; unless they are very good studio headphones and they are most ideal for your situation ;D
Nice song! the beginning was a little slow but it built up the song; and one thing that may just be me but I think the vocals could somehow cut through the mix in parts a bit more, but very very nice!
@MusicallyG oh and adding onto the other response, having both is ideal, for specific situations; when recrding vocals you'll want the headphones to hear the mix, and when mixing and mastering you want the studio monitors. For an example of how things could sound differently and then end up disappointing, I have a song I created from my IPhone (on channel) using a music creation app, and what sounded good through my regular apple headphones, sounded not very appealing through other sound sources

@MusicallyG Thanks! I have trouble with mixing at the moment as I have no money for good headphones haha :)

@MusicallyG I appreciate the tips, but you should know that my degree is in Music Production :) Your research has served you very well, I might add.
