neck reining,no.I ride her only in halter with reins attached.pull right ,go right.pull left,go left.I do use my leg as a cue to turn tighter. If i just use my leg cue she would spin.I had to do it that way cause shes so sensitive.four different cues from leg, just knee, toe, heel and full leg.then theres voice commands for the gaits, walk, trot, canter.
She was blind in her right eye already when a vet gave her the wrong meds in her left eye for treating a scratch. The wrong meds made her eye swell and bulg from her face and put her in alot of pain.Could not save it at that point so i had to have another vet remove it and he put a glass ball in it and sewn her eye lids closed. She went totally blind after the surgery.
Wow--just--wow. You should give demonstrations at clinics with what you have accomplished. Nice, calm behavior when the truck and trailer went by! Great horse and rider.
I think the same your horse has.I hope you seeing this does help you with your horse. You and people like you that are dealing with there horse going blind is why i put these video's on here to show you that if a horse is blind it is not the end of them still being a horse

It looks like your neck reining and using your leg. Is that how you can just put your hand there? Using it kind of like a rein?
