  • Plymouth is a shit hole, the city centre is an absolute cesspit and doesn't have anything worthy of going down there, and don't ask me what it was like before drakes circus was built, i dread to think it must of been dire...

  • if you live here its plymuff

  • thtas not the dockyard !

  • you posh twat i hate posh pricks

  • "This is the shrine of GREFFLOR, the evil sea monster who comes and will reek havoc on our city every year unless we feed it ten virgins. Which are very difficult to find in Plymouth" hahahahaha your a genius!

  • Plymouth isn't rotty bitch

  • Never comment at all on youtube let alone say something 'bloody ugly' about somebody but the narrator is a real snobby dipshit.... Had to be said!

  • im from plymouth bitches

  • @synergyforthewin SAME BITCH!!! haha

  • The building...wasn't it a mill?

  • love the " BLOODY UGLY " comment made about the Civic Centre !!!!

  • bloody posh exeter twats

  • xD funneh!!

  • YOU ARE ONE MASSIVE FAGGOT

  • *mayflower steps thought i'd correct you*

  • its a grain store

  • I travel to Plymouth this summer... :)

  • i love this, great work. it really is as crap as you made it sound. how extraordinarily accurate!

  • what a knob think this person don't know his ass from his elbow

  • This is genius! yes it may be as historically accurate as Pearl Harbour the movie (tho. a tad less dramatic) but I don't think that matters & I work in heritage! There are plenty of serious sources to satisfy even the most patriotic of Plymothians, this is an impressively witty & refreshing alternative! For those who disagree try not to take life too seriously or you'll burst a blood vessel in your eye & be forced to don an eye patch in public which would just look odd oo-arr! Job well done BG!

  • love it! :p

  • I like going down the lions den. heheheheh

  • I take it the mispelling of "Documentary" on the opening title was deliberate! :-)

  • oh, p.s the granite blocks were removed so we could put street lights up there... If you go again, you shall see 6 black colums with victorian lanterns on, instead of granite blocks

  • funniest video on youtube!

sorry about the UN flag, Ill put it the right way up this year.

  • I meant a complete pile of bum, a plie a bum would give the wrong impression entirelty, well, ply a bum if you want to, who am I to point the finger of judgement.

  • This video was a complete plie of bum.

  • well i hope this wasn't a video for uni because so much of this info was sooo inaccurate it's unreal! some bits quite funny though.

  • Lol, BTW that building u said u dont know wat its for, if i remeber rightly it was a granary silo, dunno wat its used for now,

And its the Duke of Cornwall hotel, not the prince of wales rofl, was rather funny,

The bit about the virgins was brill

  • it was a grain silo....but it got knocked down over a year ago now to make way for the west end regeneration.....although with the recession and all tax payers money being spent on Gordon browns cleaner and other mp's broken toilets in westminster think it could be delayed by quite a bit now!!

  • how environmental are we?

    lol

  • i lovee when he gets to the picturee of the menss pool and says "you dont have to pay for this one, this pool is for poor people"

  • brilliant video. i need to explore plymouth more. i don't recognise half these places :P

  • I love the voice over. I am not being sarcastic either.

  • It would have been nice to see Drake's Circus and the University of Plymouth.

  • This was a great video. Our son lived in Plymouth in 2007-08 as he studied at the University from Idaho, USA. He liked Plymouth so well he is returning 2009 for graduate studies.

  • wheres the mall !

why didnt you include it :O?

  • Exactly, it's the old grain silo!

  • It's the grain solo! And they've demolished it! So now we can't feed ourselves in case of nuclear war!

  • what do you know you fucking posh torie

  • I'm not a Tory. Besides, I'm well aware how inaccurate this video's information is. Why do people take it so seriously? I am the first to admit it's a heap of crap.

  • @BronzeGriffin pfft steriotypical saying a Tory is posh. The were typically upper class in the early 1900's oh and the labour and lib dem constituencys also have "posh" accents due to them having a majourity high icome families that can afford mostly afford a private or well tutored education.

And i just wana say that I am only 15 and i realise this, so stop being so up yourself mate.

  • @rainybritania097 Err... I think you'll find it was the YouTube user 'xynw7w' who said that. Not me...

  • @BronzeGriffin yeah sorry about that :)

  • derries clock duirn the war was the city centre

ive absailed down the civic centre for charity the only good use that buildings got :-P

  • i live in plymouth. plymothian through and through. fantastic city, its just a pity you get caught up in so much traffic. rumour has it that the council have put so many traffic lights,(if you been or live in plymouth, you'll know what i mean) so that they can introduce a congestion charge. remains to be seen though. what intrests me is the network of tunnels in the limestone under the city. theres one that goes to drakes island, which noone is allowed on by the way so leave your trunks at home

  • I'm hoping to go to Plymouth uni, friend of mine already at Plymouth Uni say the city is great, brill night life, shopping and beaches near by, i cant wait :-)

  • very funny enjoyed watching it I happen to love Plymouth

  • The cream coloured pub to the left of the picture (the Navy) is NOT where the original Mayflower Steps lurked... they're situated INSIDE The Admiral MacBride pub (in the ladies' toilets), which wasn't even in shot. I know, 'cos I live next door. Would've been a bit more amusin' (as you yourself admit, BronzeGriffin), if had been researched better. Kinda overall irritating in a sub-par pseudo Victor Lewis-Smith stylee. (I'm just miffed you didn't include my house in any of the shots, really!).

  • "sub-par pseudo Victor Lewis-Smith style" I don't even know who that is... I will endeavour to find out.

  • Weird! I really see what you mean now. I find that most peculiar.

  • Plymouth is shitttt :L

  • all i here is u putting plymouth down bad bb bad buildings or as u put it bloody ugly the worst thini seen was the photo of u. And as for the shot of the dockyard wrong thats the ferry port and stonehouse. and pool for poor people what are u on u twat and saying are people are ugly. and the are not called the pilgrim steps its the mayflower steps wrong again. And whats this about a sea monster u nob. next time do ur home work on plymouth that way u dont look like an idiot in ur vids

  • Woah there! It's not meant to be taken seriously. Besides I did this ages ago. I've learnt a lot more about Plymouth since then. It's riddled with mistakes and badly presented. No need to get all heated about it.

  • Nice one mate, im a janner and im stuck in bulgaria looking for videos to show my city in all its glory and i must say its sterling work. if you ever do plymouth again (cant see why you would want to) dont forget bretonside.

  • Plymouth = shithole!

  • yes!!! haha

    i live in plymouth :(

  • We in Exeter have always thought Plymouth was shit. Nice one, good laugh.

  • go plymouth we rock

    haha

i cant belive i sat and watched that

  • LOL i LOVE putting soap in the sundial fountain SOAP FIGHT!!! LOL what fun to be had with a sundial and soapy suds :D

  • When I look back at this video I notice many errors with my information.

BigGigantos, you are correct in everything you say. :-)

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good ol Plymouth

  • 'THAT' builing was a grain silo and has now been demolished. To 'chatty' the pilgrim fathers originally left from Southampton NOT Portsmouth! And the bulk of the travellers joined the ship at Plymouth. No way is Pompey having a claim to fame in that story!

  • Haha this was great. I'm from Michigan and I'm going to Plymouth next month!! Your witty comments were very entertaining :)

  • Good work sir! Huzzah!

  • this is fucking funny

  • Very funny !!!!!!!!!!! Plymouth born and bred .. Hav;nt been home in ages.. why are all the pixs dark ???

    Thanks for the treat !!!

  • lmao!!! oh lord, i'm in tears with laughter!!! makes me wish I was at home on the hoe!!. Good job!

  • That isnt the prince of Wales Hotel, its the Duke of Cornwall (i know the Prince of Wales is the Duke of cornwall but thats besides the point...) My mum told me so, she's been there

  • around the THAT building is being made in to nice flats and all that type of posh stuff

or at least i think so

    ps nice video

  • Yes, I heard news that it was going to be demolished. ^ ^ Yay!

  • I left Plymouth three years ago and I wanna come home. Great city, nice people, I know where my roots are.

  • lmao

  • plymouth is my mecca

  • Nice city except for that fucking ugly Drake Circus. I like the civic centre.

  • yah plymouth was a pile of shit 11yrs ago but times have moved on and plymouth is in middle of a makeover and is a gr8 place to live and gd for students

  • Well... it was 11 years ago...

  • What is 'THAT' build building I've been wondering for years???!!!

Do you work for captin jaspers or somthing?

  • lmao! that was hilarious, u got alot of stuff wrong and the fotos wernt the best, i mean u culd barely see cap'n jaspers. and mount batten is part of plymouth, ow and that building by the ferry was a grain storage place but now is just there to stop the ferry beeing blown over in the port by strong wind, apart from all that it was a very funny video. thankyou

  • LOL that was quite funny:) You should do one on Drake Circus.. except you can't take photos, but that's only a minor set-back eh?

  • Well, fancy that. You learn something every day.

  • There was actually two Pilgrim Fathers ships, one of them stopped at Dartmouth and then again at Plymouth and didn't make the voyage across the Atlantic. It was on Melvyn Bragg's Midweek, or Start the Week a couple of weeks ago, and I'm damned if I can remember what the other ship was called.

  • can i just say that the pilgrims came from Portsmouth, not plymouth

they just stopped in plymouth cos there was a hole in the ship.but no 1 says this cos they want ppl from the usa to spend money .

  • I understand they went to Dartmouth to sort out the leak. The Dartmoor Museum stresses that quite a lot.

  • I need to go back to Plymouth sometime

  • No, I don't follow football.

  • Do u support plymouth argyle?

  • Lipson Street

  • wheres that?

  • what street?

  • Im from tavistock which is near plymouth.

  • That building you didnt know about was some sort of wheat mining place and i heard that they are knocking it down. In fact, most of the shabby buildings u saw in the city centre are being knocked down.

  • Where'd you hear that?

  • My dad told me and he live in the centre of city, in union street.

  • I checked the Council site. They've big plans for the city! Maybe I should go on holiday for 40 years and come back when they're finished. lol

  • do you live in plymouth?

  • Yup. Uni student.

  • why would you wanna go to uni in plymouth?

  • It's better than Reading... but perhaps not as good as Oxford.

  • I live in Plymouth, it's a right shithole.

  • Most Informative!

  • Oh by the way, I also have NO IDEA what that building is.

    NOONE DOES!!

  • It looks like some of the Mill buildings we have near where i live (Gloucestershire), but whats a mill doing by the sea?
