Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit F1 Track Guide

the pre 1991 was the layout that earned Silverstone the "classic track" status. The 91-09 was still pretty good and produced great races. And Bridge corner was great. This new layout is in line for the times. The new turn 1 and 2 are ok, but once past those we have to wait to rejoin the old track to see something interesting. They could have built a new pit complex without altering the layout. Anyway, I am still crying over Hockenheim... And Imola

I'm kind of torn on this new layout. I really love the way Silverstone was in the mid '80's with basically all straights and no braking nearly at all, but the layout from 1991-2009 was pretty great too. We did lose the Abbey Chicane, Bridge, and Priory, but having Abbey flat out will undoubtedly be pretty cool to watch. I'll have to see the race I guess before I make a verdict...

Fantastic vid. I'm a Legard fan, but definitely feel James Allen adds something in these technical style pieces. Hire him! (although as long as this doesn't compromise his blog, for which there are no superlatives available. It's awesome)

And Brundle should be there whatever happens

But James Allen is an annoying fanboy lol...

I'd rather have Martin Brundle as the main commentator all the time, with Coulthard or a driver every week commentating with him

That would be so much better than Legard :)
