I liked Blade Kitten a lot more than this, its gameplay isn't quite so generic and it has much better production values. But then I do like the fancy combat animations that game has and its intuitive controls, much more-so than the rag-tag collection of buttons this game has you press.

Anyway, the bonus item is very easy to obtain. The game never tells you this, but holding the jump button allows you to jump higher. Hold the jump button twice (double jump) and you're on the platform.

It's definitely fun at first, but the controls aren't quite tight enough for the precision jumping they require of you in later levels. That and too many things come at you from off screen and just hit you. Falling blocks that I couldn't see until they hit me, not fun.
