  • thats killer

  • Good idea. Thank you

  • How's the Tennessee Rose treating ya?

  • Oh man, I love that tone! Could you please do an overall review of this guitar? There isn't one on youtube. Thank you for your time.

  • Ever heard of SWINGING THE NOTES?!?!?!? this is arrangement is whiter than JJ Reddick.

  • Thats the closest i ever heard anyone get to that tone. Great job! Can u get the same sound with filtertrons? ..or is the secret the hilos? nice!...i assume ur using the vox?

  • I believe the original theme was played on a burns guitar but this gretsch sounds dead on.Are those tv jones hi lotrons or the gretsch ones?

  • @rw5791

    Thanks

  • TONE!

  • @SlappyFrankenstein

    Thanks a lot:

I knew I left some notes out a few weeks after i posted the song. I also improvised the chords.

COuld you kindly tell me the correct notes. I may post the song again in stereo.

    Thanks in advance

  • @SlappyFrankenstein

    Oops!

I just saw your videos. You are not a guitar player. You don't ave anything in there.

    Anyway, thanks for watching.

  • @JGarcia658 PWND

  • @JGarcia658

Despite his weird chubby fetish, he is right about missing notes and wrong chords. Please for the love of God hold your pick right, get your thumb on the neck, and use your freaking pinky. Breaking these bad habits will make you a better player.

  • @CrappyMovieStudios

Upon closer inspection, I see that you do use your pinky. But it is much easier to play scales with your thumb on the neck.

  • @JGarcia658 FLASH---pro musicians don't go around putting up crap amatuer vids. I see you are in your fucking living room---ever play out, wanker? Own up to your own mediocrity. You have simplified a very cool riff due to your suckage---man up about it. Oh, God, I have to listen to this shit while I type, OWWWWWWW

  • @JGarcia658 Anyway, it doesn't matter if you play it like it sounds normally, the most important thing is that it sounds good.

  • @JGarcia658 Slappy Frankenstein may be termed a douchebag...there i got my passive agressive anger out.keep up the good work!

  • @SlappyFrankenstein The hell they are wrong, Obviously it's a different scale. And guitars as any other instrument can be played in different scales. Repeatedly doing the same scale hurts your fingers.

Bugger off, go mess with someone else's video. I think this is good stuff for a semi-acoustic..

  • @SlappyFrankenstein hey fuck you guy

  • dude this speaks music to my ears right now my ears are cryin for joy cause it sound so great

  • crazy, man.

  • the gretsch chet atkins tennessee rose FT , are they made in America?

  • -----The real song that the 007 theme is derived from is an early Pink Floyd song named "Lucifer Sam." It was written by Syd Barret of Pink Floyd and it was about his crazy cat, Lol. It's in the key of "B," with a kickin' surf riff throughout the song. Like I said though, It is only derived from the song, it does sound a tad different on the album, (The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, 1967). I just thought you'd all like to know! Very cool playin' btw!

  • Interesting!

However, the movie Dr. No with the James Bond theme was released in 1962. What do you think?

  • Honestly...... Idk, Lol! It was just the album the song was featured on. Maybe they wrote the song long before then and only released it on that album as a special or something. ..... I didn't know that movie came out that early. This was just info I found off the internet a while ago and thought it was interesting also. You can hear the similarities, though.

  • How did they get a copy of syd's song in 1962? He would have only still been in school and too young to be high or on acid.

  • Did you ever think perhaps Syd ripped off the James Bond theme??

  • are you refering to Lucifer Sam off Piper at the Gates of Dawn?

  • That is cool!

  • This is interesting. I think that the your project is good.

  • brother q tal guitarraza

  • sounds good

  • AAAAAA Guay too good

  • ¡Gracias! Amigo mejicano.

    CIAO

  • Good job.

Mr Vic Flick was the original guitarist.

  • That's pretty spot on.2 questions is that a 6120 and if so which model. Also where do you get the backing track?

  • Kick ass surf playing I thought that I was hearing the original recording it was that good

  • I tried several guitars till I found the right tone for the signature lick of the song. It has to be done with single coil pickups.

    Thanks for listening

  • duuuude how many times have you seen Dr No? :P that was bloody sweet as regardless of what anyone says hahhah loved it

  • Gee thanks

  • Not a great James Bond fan, but cool playing and talent regardless.

  • That was awesome dude! rock on!!!

  • this isnt cool man......... its freakin awesome!!!!!! keep playin that guitar

  • Very nice mate!

  • No, they should not be used for music that requires a Gibson Les Paul.

  • Does anyone know if Gretsch guitars are good for playing classic Rock like Guns N Roses or Van Halen types of sound?

  • i was playing this tune when i was 5 years old! takes me back

  • i don't like it ...... i freakin love it!

  • Nicely done.

  • that was fu@#*ng amazing mate! keep it up you legend :) x

  • very good. can u tell me where u got the tabs? i got a gretsch too. 6122 country gent.

  • Thanks. I learned the song by ear. I also have a 6122 Country Classic that I use in Sleepwalker.

  • A Tennessean/Tennessee Rose with Hilos apparently is the right guitar for this song. It sounds so right for this song.
