@nickey55 You are welcome. The whipping scene is extremely poorly staged. He appears to be fully clothed, and there is little visible reaction to the lash. I realize they are not actually whipping him, but that is what ACTING is supposed to be about. Brando also butchered the role of Fletcher Christian in "Mutinty on the Bounty," portraying him as a fop. Some are impressed with Brando as an actor, but I am not one of them.
Hope everybody as enjoyed watching but YOUTUBE in their wisdom decided that I am breaking some kind of ancient copyright law and have threatened to ban me from YOUTUBE !!! if anything they or Paramount should be paying me for promoting their old films and maybe turning on a younger audience to them that may then go out and buy them on dvd! They have already deleted all my clips of 'SHANE' which took me quite a lot of effort to edit and upload back then.
@catfishs - Actually, if you supply commentary, as in a review, it's considered "Fair Use." That's an exception to copyright violations.
I don't know if YouTube bureaucrats know or care what that is. They just don't want to get sued, and maybe to get invited to some off-Hollywood parties for lickspittles and toadies.
@KutWrite Thanks for the info but its a little late in the day now most of my clips have been up for 4 or 5 years and I'd have to re edit and lose all my views on the off chance that youtube won't delete it. Its funny but the reason why youtube was so popular in first place was that you could post anything up within reason since they sold out to this new outfit they've become paranoid about copyright laws...think I'll go else were to amuse myself and leave these ditherers alone.

In the three versions of Mutiny on the Bounty, he is the only one who portrayed Fletcher Christian as always wearing a shirt. Both Clark Gable and Mel Gibson were shirtless at appropriate times. Brando, on the other hand, apparently had sex with the King's daughter in full naval uniform.

I'm reading Brando's bio right now, and it said that Brando's spitting on Karl Malden was unscripted and what Malden said was unscripted, too. Brando liked to improvise a lot. This movie was Brando's attempt at being a director. It went over budget, woo!
I saw Jack Nickolson's Biography on TV and when he worked with Brando on Missouri Breaks he said he got fed up with Brando because he didn't want to memorize his lines, so yes he did adlib a lot. Jack said he had really looked forward to working with Brando but after the way he acted on Missouri Breaks he never wanted to work with Brando again.
Brando took that whipping like a boss. Gotta love him.

"Fair use" is not automatic, and whether it applies sometimes needs to be litigated. One can understand why You Tube is not eager for that.
