You'll just have to realize that sometimes you get Steve doing a complete copy of a studio song and sometimes he improvises and sometimes you get a little of each. I know he can fill in the space with improv, if he wants to, but I also know he believes all of Jimi's original licks are better than anything he can improvise. There are plenty of other guitarists who believe they are the next Jimi. Maybe you should seek them.

I've heard him play it before, but not with this band. He says, when playing out, they only play songs that Jimi played. But who knows what could happen down the road.

You probably need to "Reply" to theplourde to get the answer. Click on the word Reply that is on the same line as his name and ask him and the message will be sent to him. I doubt he will ever see your question otherwise. But I can tell you, I know of NO footage from San Diego Sports Arena but maybe you are speaking of footage from the game.

If and when he posts any original material, the band won't be called Steve Webb & EXP. If it has "& EXP" after his name, it means it's his Hendrix cover band and that's all that name is for.

Well this is well done but something about a facial expression, made me think I was going to hear "..kiss this fly". HAH HAH. Seriously though you are good. Get a big funky floppy hat like Jimi's (not mine). It will detract from your being white : I think you want to enhance the illusion. Try miking a Fender too. In the USA you are most often hearing Jimi through one, Fenders being miked even as Marshalls are not. Look at Monterey Pop. Hey Kudos to you.

Steve likes to think of Jimi's music, as a complete style of music, on it's own. Like Blues or Jazz., with Jimi's own music being the best example of that style. He, and others here, want to try to keep it alive. Like any city orchestra wants to keep Beethoven or Bach alive. It's Classic music, on it's own. Come back and watch some more. Maybe you'll see why, with time.
