Just saw these guys last week & Kelly & the new lineup had the club rockin' the Mountain so hard it shook! Mick's got a winner with the new lineup! And Kelly's vocals are just as powerful in person. LOVE THEM!

This singer seems different because he IS different. DUH! Foreigner still kicks ass - and talent-wise this line-up is every bit as talented as the original. Pilson and Bonham rock big time, and Kelly Hansen is a great singer who has Lou down.

You have a great point here. Pilson is an excellent bassist. Bonham, well, is his dad, and Hansen kicks some ass. Remember Hurricane? These boys give a new spice to the laid back hard rock that WAS the original Foreigner. I LOVE the original Foreigner, but this line-up kicks serious ass.

Good singer but doesn't beat Lou, in my opinion. Having said that it would be tough for anyone to be evaluated next to the legendary Lou Gramm. So, it is a bit unfair to Kelly Hansen - for a live performance he does a nice job.

He doesn't beat classic Lou just like Arnel Pineda doesn't beat Steve Perry. The original is the original. But, it's safe to say that Kelly Hansen '08 is far better than Lou Gramm '08. And, ultimately, that's all that matters.

Steve Perry - my other favorite singer! Yep, I agree with you with respect to Hansen being better now, though I think when comparing it's always good to consider each at their best - like comparing boxers, tennis players etc. As you know, we would expect the change in vocal fold composition with age - we've all seen it with almost every singer. Exceptions like Prince are there but that's due to his voice training that continued from childhood onwards but this is rare from what I have seen.Cheers

Excellent point... it's not always worth having your bollocks removed. Hansen is on point enough so that I'd definitely still see them today even without Lou. One exception with 'ageing' singers in my mind is Dave Bickler... still sounds remarkably similar 2day.

i must say that i agree with you guys lou gramm is indeed irreplacebale but you should've seen these guys they really rock!!!!!!!! one of the best acts to perform in chihuahua i was there ( it was a free show)

they shook down chihuahua all the way to foundations even though they didn't play my 2 favorites (headknocker and love on the telephone and yes i was the guy with the banners
