Hi, I so hope you have your girl! I read somewhere and saw a vlog on it and i also asked my Dr and ultrasound tech about it and they all said it 's true.. If you look at your ultrasound pic.. If the umbilical cord is pointing straight up it's a girl however if the umbilical cord is at an angle/ tilted it's a boy.. You can use your boys ultrasound pics as a reference.. Good Luck..

I have an 8 week old son and I wish I looked as awesome as you! I have a friend who is 30 weeks pregnant and at around 14 weeks she was told it was a boy, and at her 20 week ultrasound - plain as day - it's a girl! So there is hope for you :)
I had an ultrasound at 14 weeks and they told me boy...looked just like a penis!! BUT at 20 weeks it was a girl. She was very swollen from hormones. I swear, all my ultrasound pics from 14 weeks look just like a penis! so there is still a chance! :)

Are you talking "ball on the end" as in you think you were seeing the glans (head) of the penis. Because that would be impossible to see. The baby has a foreskin that makes the penis smooth and look more like a thumb. Even in a full term infant you can't see the head of the penis. The foreskin covers it completely to protect the head of the penis from germs and chaffing dipes/ pants.
So I'm curious! Sorry if you have said it a million time but if you don't mind me asking, what state are you from? You sound like you have a midwest accent like me! I live in Michigan.
I think it bugs me most because you are going to be a Midwive and are a Doula. Call it what it is. My comment may not change your mind, and that is fine, but maybe someone reading will get annoyed enough with me to research it more and slowly make the switch.

I had my NT scan around 12 weeks also & our tech predicted a boy, I told her before her prediction that I had dreamt it was a boy...because she asked me 1st...then she told us...well, I think it's a boy, come back around 16/17 weeks & I'll confirm it! She was awesome!! My lil' man is now 11 months old... =)

I *THINK* in a couple of the profile pics you can kinda see a nub (kind of behind baby's leg) and it looks like a girl nub to me in that it looks like its pointing parallel with baby rather than at an angle.
Wow, joke many scans do/can you get? I'm 17 weeks and don't get a scan until 22 weeks. Healthcare is different up here, in Canada, so it must be the perks of private healthcare. Well, hopefully baby participates more in the next scans!
I saw somewhere that all fetuses are 'girls' in the genetic makeup when concieved and at some weeks I dont remember when, it turns into a boy (if that happens). Dont know if thats true *shrugs*
I'm 33 weeks & I (so far) have only been able to see my baby's face maybe, 3 times? She's just in such an odd position that it prevents the techs from getting a good profile shot or even seeing her face to get a 4D picture. I feel your painnn! lol

All I'm going to say is deep breath... You could still be having a girl! LOL I know its hard to wait! I went in at 17w3d to a place here that does the 4D ultrasound and was told I was having a girl (and I did...) but I was sooo sure she was a boy! So remember that in girls that their little lady parts tend to be swollen and can look like a boy! Best of luck!! Either way your babies a beautiful! :)

you know it is sooooo true that little girls wont show their goods thats how my daughter was. I payed for an ultrasound at 16 weeks because i couldnt wait any longer and they said girl and then i had ultrasounds every week after 25 weeks because she was IUGR and i think only a few she showed her stuff after i drank orange juice, other than that she wouldnt show. i cant wait to find out what your having!!!!!!!!!!!! i still have my fingers toes and everything else crossed for a baby girl!
I was told boy at 13 1/2 weeks. The tech was sure the nub was what they call the drumstick, and yet at the 20 week scan , NO NUB ,NO DRUMSTICK....GIRL!!! We have three boys already ! Don't count on it yet, even if you seen it. I'm telling you the "nub" looks so similiar for boy and girl until after 16 weeks.
Great pictures! Ugh the anticipation of finding out the gender!!! I did the inteligender at 16 and I'm convinced that the further along you are its more likely to be right. It said girl and was right :)

It's too early to tell right now. Boys and girls look the same at 12-13 weeks. My best friend, already had two boys, was told in her 3rd pregnancy at 12w5d that she was having a boy...the doctor told her that. Then at 17 weeks they discovered it was in fact a girl. So, too early. I wouldn't buy blue just yet!

Now I don't want to get your hopes up BUT I had an ultrasound at 12 weeks and I saw the same thing you did. My ultrasound tech said she was 90% sure it was a boy. I also comapred a lot of pictures online And it did look like a boy That 90% was not good enough for me so I went and paid for one at 28 weeks and sure enough it showed a girl no doubt about it and she was! With that being said. I wish you a very Healthy pregnancy and birth and baby boy or girl! :)

You know what drives me crazy? The people who dislike your videos. Why do they bother to watch? You look awesome in this video. Can't wait to finally see what your having and what your going to name him/her! Love your kids names.
Congrats, glad the baby is healthy. When you go for your gender scan drink and eat something very sweet just before,that makes the baby wake up and be active. Orange juice worked both times for me.
But it's too early to determine the gender because the nub is still either staying or retreating, depending on the gender. Wonderful that the baby is healthy : D
yay for a healthy ultrasound:) i'm not sure but apparently you can tell the gender with the nub from the angle of it , so horizontal is generally girl, more verticle is boy.. . i made wrong guesses with both of my girls at the earlier ultrasound, could swear i saw something too!
I am so glad that your little bean is healthy. Sorry you didn't get a better look at the gender but I know you are going to be so happy either way. I am about a week and a half later than you in pregnancy and go for my NT scan next week. I am excited but nervous and haven't even thought about possibly finding out the gender, I am dying to know. Can't wait to find out if you are having a boy or girl.
aww My sister found out she was having twin girls at 14 weeks so your guess is probably right. OH I'd love to know where this cloth diaper store is. I live in the same state. My sister cloth diapers her twins. Yeah for a good ultrasound!!!! I can't believe how fast it is going for you!

Love the ultrasound pic with baby's legs stretched out, so cute! I'm due April 7th with first, my u/s tech wouldn't tell us at 12 weeks but I thought I saw boy parts..have to wait until Nov 18th. Take care! Sarah

You know what drives me crazy? The people who dislike your videos. Why do they bother to watch? You look awesome in this video. Can't wait to finally see what your having and what your going to name him/her! Love your kids names.

Congrats, glad the baby is healthy. When you go for your gender scan drink and eat something very sweet just before,that makes the baby wake up and be active. Orange juice worked both times for me.

But it's too early to determine the gender because the nub is still either staying or retreating, depending on the gender. Wonderful that the baby is healthy : D

yay for a healthy ultrasound:) i'm not sure but apparently you can tell the gender with the nub from the angle of it , so horizontal is generally girl, more verticle is boy.. . i made wrong guesses with both of my girls at the earlier ultrasound, could swear i saw something too!

I am so glad that your little bean is healthy. Sorry you didn't get a better look at the gender but I know you are going to be so happy either way. I am about a week and a half later than you in pregnancy and go for my NT scan next week. I am excited but nervous and haven't even thought about possibly finding out the gender, I am dying to know. Can't wait to find out if you are having a boy or girl.

aww My sister found out she was having twin girls at 14 weeks so your guess is probably right. OH I'd love to know where this cloth diaper store is. I live in the same state. My sister cloth diapers her twins. Yeah for a good ultrasound!!!! I can't believe how fast it is going for you!
