Nice, I own ignition coil also. I was using only 12V 400ma to power it, and got 1 inch arcs, so (like i always did) i use my hand to move the wire to change the length, and I had a bad clip on it (CD powder!) and I got zapped. Didn't hurt but it sure did jolt my hand back.

I got tagged by an arc like this when I used a very similar coil to run a jacobs ladder. I was holding a fluorescent light next to it, and the corona travelled over the surface of the glass... nearly put me on my ass. Luckily the current was very low.
