The problem with console wars is people making a debate about it. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are supreme consoles in the world. Whatever console you choose out of these two; you have a powerful console just like the other. The real factor behind these two; is which console you're comfortable with and the age of experience you have played thoughout certain games. So in terms of war, why not allow partnership between the PlayStation gamers and the Xbox gamers? In this case, everyone can be winner.

You can't just fly the camera around or have it looking at one spot.

yes you can have it look at one spot. you can use a fixed camera looking at one spot, a camera that stays in one place but will follow you, and the normal game cam. its a usually a good idea to look around in the replay with the free camera before editing though.
